Out now, all mixes (John Tejada, Jerome Isma-Ae & Glimpse) available to be purchased (MP3, FLAC or Apple Lossless) for only $5, along with the video and associated artwork:

The original version is one polished beauty after 2 years of evolution. John Tejada is the only other one that interests me, though Glimpse might be a halfway decent DJ tool.
EDIT: Download another new album track ("UltraViolet") http://www.wayoutwest.mu/news/get-free-track/55/1/ for FREE. |

| The original is my pick of the bunch. The remixes don't sound too interesting, tbh. |

Pump Up The Volume anyone? :nervous:
Original is rather bad, not impressed. Same goes for Jerome Isma-Ae Remix. This really doesn't sound like Way Out West at all. Sampling Pump Up The Volume isn't really a good idea IMO. Vocals aren't very good either. Tejada Instrumental doesn't sound all that bad. The Pump Up The Volume samples "shine thru" too much though. They sound so separate, like they do on every track they're used on (that I've heard at least). Glimpse Remix is ok chilled house.
Overall impression: :wtf: |

I would disagree that it doesn't sound like them...since Jody's an integral part of the group (the brain as it were), the predominant syncopated bassline is very reminiscent of his solo productions of the past 3 years. After the initial "shock" of the M/A/R/R/S percussive sampling, it basically sits in the background if you don't fixate on it.
I was somewhat lukewarm about the track before now but the juicy layers made abundantly clear in the latest mixdown have won me over. Compare it to the latest work of their long-time contemporaries like BT, PVD and Chicane and it's no question as to who's standing taller. |

| From the new Way Out West-stuff, this is probably the least impressive. Nothing too interesting here. Haven't heard the remixes yet though. |

Let 'em hate, Hooknife. You don't manage to keep it together creatively for 16 years without having the right ingredients more often than not. :)
Oh, the WOW boys continue with the generosity, now offering up a free download of the track "UltraViolet" from the forthcoming album for those who simply submit their email address via the form at http://www.wayoutwest.mu |

| Ultraviolet is superb, this and Spaceman hint at a top album. |

| Spaceman likely won't appear (thankfully...it's nice but sounds like more of an outtake from DLN). "We Love Machine" and "Future Perfect" are likely indicators of a quality album, though. ;) |

haters gonna hate, this song owns
way out west was one of the first electronic music groups i really dug and it's good to see some new work from them. i agree that this sounds a lot more like jody's recent solo work than "classic" wow, but that's fine by me |
