I'm planning to go there for a week/maybe two. Has anyone been there? Is it worth it? Should I go there in the winter instead?

thx

Winter would be amazing if you like ski/snowboard. The mountains in QC are quite nice. I love St-Anne in QC

I am sure there are plenty of activities in the summer (biking/hiking) and there's probably lakes for fishing/boat....

one of my good buddy's moved up their a couple years ago, and i visit as much as i can...

its MUCH better to go in the winter. In the summer you used to be able to downhill mountain bike, but they've stopped that now. Your basically limited to walking trails, biking trails around the mountain, shopping at over priced boutiques, checking out the provincial park, etc....its pretty much like going to Blue Mountain in the summer, minus the waterpark.

Their also isn't anywhere close to the same nightlife. In the winter the clubs and bars (Le Petit Caribou FTW) are packed and the vibe is wicked, the summer is kinda just locals chilling around not really up to anything special.

If you can wait till the snow falls, i would recommend that, tremblant in winter is far superior to tremblant in the summer. If your just looking to get away and chill in a beautiful setting, then check it out now, but if you wait just know its going to be that much better.

Winter is better than summer, but overrated in my opinion. Tremblant is just like Blue Mountain, just bigger. It's still crowded, and for the most part not that challenging.

Summer is nice too. There's lots to do, especially in the village. There's games for the kids and lots of bars for nightlife. You can mountainbike on the mountain, or even walk up yourself (and the gondola is open as well). The lake is also a place you can swim and boat if you want to cool off. Just remember not to shop in the village, it's expensive as hell!

I've been for both winter and summer, and I actually enjoyed the summer more. I expected a lot from Tremblant in the winter, and it didn't meet my expectations. Summer is so relaxing and you can spend a whole day just walking around the village, exploring new things, and spending time on the mountain.

Wow...really? I cant believe you feel that way. I think Blue Mountain is a joke compared to Mt Tremblant IMO

I would totally go in the winter though. The village is pretty cool too...always a buzz going on there but the clubs are full of kids.

I think Tremblant is the best skiing/boarding on the eastern seaborad, without going to st. anne which is like an extra 4 hours further east

WTF? I'm confused as to why people keep saying stuff like this! I went in February and the longest it took me was 15 minutes (which is still long, compared to Ontario places, which are like 3 minutes). I'm not even a fast snowboarder, medium paced.

yeah 40 mins seems like a whistler size to me lol

ive been to tremblant 4 times, and if you go to the absolute top, via a gondola and then another chairlift, and take the longest, windiest trail down, it takes me about 20-25 mins.......

maybe 40 mins is stopping and grabbing a coffee and bite to eat at that chalet halfway down :P

Dude are you walking down the hill? I've been to whistler and it takes about an hour for a run from the peak of the mountain to the very bottom.

Around 3-4pm when whistler/blackcomb closes, you'll see runs being closed down and everyone moving towards the bottom. That'll add another 10-15mins because of the volume.

The runs are so long on these mountains, you'll end up taking a break(s) because your ankles/legs will be sore.

Maybe he was including the time on the chair lift?
