Morning after leaves me baffled, once again, at how the majority of people on this forum can claim in some way or another that this guys sucks.
I had my doubts earlier in the evening when it because evident that he wasn't going on until 1. I had listened to the friends I'd come with bitch about the opening DJ about as long as I could take it and was about to bail...not many people were dancing, which is a bad sign for a club at a quarter to 1.
... then magically, as soon as Aoki shows up, the place explodes with enough energy that I think The Mark can't contain it. Even if you're not feeling the music, you'd have to pick up on that vibe and have a great time.
We all enjoyed it. Walking out covered in sweat with hurting feet is the sign of a good night.
I was confused, though, at the number of half naked men who would rush the front at random times. Bong ALWAYS likes to stand pretty close to the front, so whenever I'd go out and dance I'd soon be victim of a sweaty manlove stampede. I'll bring a helmet next time ;) |

Who opened? Was there a legitimate concern with the opening DJ or did his track selection just not do it for the Aoki crowd? |
