What's the weirdest dream you have ever had? (pg. 3)

I don't believe either of those. I believe that dreams are simply 'mental filing'; your brain getting its affairs in order and preparing for you to wake up, hence why bad issues seem better the next day, or why miracle solutions to particularly troublesome problems seem to appear out of no where in the middle of the night.

Basically we have two big theories about dreams One is the karl jung theory which he deeply believes that us humans own a 6th sense and so dreams prevents us in some way about what is to come.

The second one was done by the father of Psycho analysis that is Freud in which he believes that dreams are a mechanism of repressed desires that are fulfilled most of the time in dreams.

I'm more into the Karl Jung theory , I do like the Freud one as well but then again Freud inhaled enough coke to kill a horse when he was writing his essays :p
Interesting :eek: , but then what happened to everyone else? :conf:

I had a dream last night
You were there
You held my hand so tight
I thought I'd just die
Do you remember?
When we use to have
So much fun
I used to cry sometimes
Those days are gone
Did you remember?

(Do you remember...?)

I wanna go back to
Back to the days
When I needed
A little more fun
When I believed I
I believed I
Could fly so high
Through the clouds

Tear down these walls
If just for one day
Tear down these walls
I need you to stay
Stay.

Turning back time to
Times we made love
All day,
Under the sun
When I believed I
I believed I
Could fly so high
Through the clouds

Tear down these walls
If just for one day
Tear down these walls
I need you to stay

Stay.

O, then I see Queen Mab hath been with you.
She is the fairies' midwife, and she comes
In shape no bigger than an agate stone
On the forefinger of an alderman,
Drawn with a team of little atomies
Over men's noses as they lie asleep;
Her wagon spokes made of long spinners' legs,
The cover, of the wings of grasshoppers;
Her traces, of the smallest spider web;
Her collars, of the moonshine's wat'ry beams;
Her whip, of cricket's bone; the lash, of film;
Her wagoner, a small grey-coated gnat,
Not half so big as a round little worm
Pricked from the lazy finger of a maid;
Her chariot is an empty hazelnut,
Made by the joiner squirrel or old grub,
Time out o' mind the fairies' coachmakers.
And in this state she gallops night by night
Through lovers' brains, and then they dream of love;
O'er courtiers' knees, that dream on curtsies straight;
O'er lawyers' fingers, who straight dream on fees;
O'er ladies' lips, who straight on kisses dream,
Which oft the angry Mab with blisters plagues,
Because their breaths with sweetmeats tainted are.
Sometimes she gallops o'er a courtier's nose,
And then dreams he of smelling out a suit;
And sometimes comes she with a tithe-pig's tail
Tickling a parson's nose as 'a lies asleep,
Then dreams he of another benefice.
Sometimes she driveth o'er a soldier's neck,
And then dreams he of cutting foreign throats,
Of breaches, ambuscadoes, Spanish blades,
Of healths five fathom deep; and then anon
Drums in his ear, at which he starts and wakes,
And being thus frighted, swears a prayer or two
And sleeps again. This is that very Mab
That plats the manes of horses in the night
And bakes the elflocks in foul sluttish hairs,
Which once untangled much misfortune bodes.
This is the hag, when maids lie on their backs,
That presses them and learns them first to bear,
Making them women of good carriage.
This is she!

None of the dreams in this thread are weird. Truly weird dreams are almost impossible to describe in words because they make so little sense. The kind where sensory perception or concepts are crossed over, impossibly.

I once had a dream where the concept of a song and a football match fused, and a track I was listening to sounded terrible because the defenders kept conceding goals throughout it.

If your dream consists of a cohesive world with coherent sensory information and working causality, it is not weird. I remember a dream where I was sat on a hillside next to a bridge with lots of people I'd never seen before. I had to cook a chicken dinner, but all the utensils were gigantic - as tall as me - and when I went down to the foot of the bridge to retrieve something, a giant cooked leg of chicken attacked me and chased me back up the hill.

Last night I dreamt that my girlfriend's father gave me a needle with heroin in it and I didn't take it, and they all vanished and the police showed up and arrested me and were getting ready to throw me into federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison. It sucked. I woke up midway through, just because I was mildly freaking out :wtf:

I don't know about boring, but it's certainly true that none of those topics ever amounts to anything but bickering/snoring. Further, 'dream' stories are never as interesting to others as they are to the one who experienced the dream - it's really not unlike psychedelic experiences and whatnot in that experience is - at best - utterly secondary to merely hearing about it.

That said, I had a dream a few months ago that I was crawling/swimming through the streets of London in deep filth and debris - it was as though a dam had broken near a landfill and emptied out into the city - you know, kind of like Paris all of the time. I recall the sky simply opening up and a beam of light shining down all of a sudden that made a deafening noise, and then I had a seizure. Guess it would have been just a regular dream had I not induced a seizure at the end of it. :stongue:

ive had many strange dreams but one that sticks out in particular is the one that i had of clovis years ago. i wasn't even e-friends with clovis at the time either, and that dream is what sort of made us become friends because obviously i posted about it on TA and then he was like "ORLY!? HAI" lol. it was too crazy of a dream to not share.

basically we were windsurfing across the entire pacific ocean and it was super fast.....like we were there in 10 minutes lol i was sitting on the board and he was controlling it. then we got up to a beach and colin farrel (yes, the actor) was drunk and trying to give us a bottle of vodka and he kept saying, "HAVE SOME VUDKA!" lolol

it was totally random but it brought me and clovy togehter:D <3 love that kid!
