Technically, there is no "prescription" for marijuana in most states that allow it for medicinal reasons. You need a doctor's "recommendation" which you take to your local marijuana dispensary and you can go to town. In California there are some docs who have clinics where all they do is hand them out. Tell them you have chronic pain and they'll give you one. There was a story about it on NPR this morning.
