Yeah, I think so. It started with something from Fear & Loathing, right? Did I not leave a comment?

It was a good mix, I listened a few times. I prefer prog-psy to be a little slower that how you mixed it, but you had some wicked tracks in there. Sorry for posting a comment here, I can't be arsed looking for the thread :p

Yeah, that was the one :D

Heh, thanks, you could have just clicked on my Set Archive link in my sig you know ;) That mix never broke 135 BPM, but it did have rolling basslines in almost every track, so I can imagine the higher energy didn't quite do it for you. Thanks!

the psy part scares me, but i got you out of your comfort zone, so i shall listen to this tonight to see how i can deal with being out of mine.

I was listening to this while walking the dog. The first track was very hooky and I was enjoying it. There was a track somewhere around 22 minutes I didn't like, it sounded like a prog psy equivalent of Tiesto's Traffic. The mix really started heating up around 30 minutes which, coincidentally, is when it began to absolutely pour it down with rain. Turns out this is great music for running half-blinded through torrential rainfall.

So the listening conditions weren't ideal. I definitely enjoyed it, but I'll need to listen again to give any detailed feedback.

this was pretty good as far as psy goes to me. i am as far from an expert on the genre as one can possibly be, but as mentioned before the speed of the mix makes it way more palatable then what i would usually consider psy to be (aka too pounding and unbearable unless on enough drugs to kill a farm animal.) I didn't notice any slips in mixing, and was able to make it through in one shot without comitting suicide so this was a great set.

I think you did a good job with this, and although i still don't think i will pursue this genre more, i will certainly listen to another set if it is on the slower side as this one is.:)

Eh? How did you get me out of my comfort zone? I followed house and techno for years before I got into psy. I've seen everyone from Mark Farina, Simon Dunmore and DJ Sneak to Sven Vath, Shlomi Aber, Stacey Pullen and Joris Voorn.

I'm actually seeing Oxia, Dubfunk, Omar S and Matthew Dear in a few weeks; it's going to be an awesome gig and I can't wait. Thanks for listening and commenting though mate; I really appreciate it. :)

No problem! I downloaded your other mix Stu posted, but have yet to get a go at listening.

I think he means psy makes him uncomfortable. Meaning my sets will never be downloaded to his harddrive :p

i tried yours...did you try mine:P

i just do not know how to deal with psy because well, i don't like it. I try to, i just can only take it in small doses, it does not make it bad, just not for me.

And domesticated it makes a lot of sense, i gave your set a listen (circle jerk), because you have given me the benefit of the doubt. I just can't stomach psy (aka outside of my comfort zone)...i could tell you it is awesome, but like i think you review my sets i respect you enough to say what i really feel:)

heil hitler.
