To which I replied: 'no, you didn't get me out of my comfort zone [when I listened to your set]'

To which you replied: 'I meant my comfort zone, sorry liquid lunch today'

Which would make it read as thus:

...which makes absolutely no sense.

Surprisingly, yes, I've listened to ADD & Chimichurri, Bienvenue Au Freak Show, and Zaggazaw :p

I never posted in your threads because I felt like I couldn't give an informed enough opinion about Tech House since I know absolutely nothing about it... I would feel silly giving my opinion without any previous knowledge. "Hey man, nice set" has always been the kind of feedback that irks me. It makes me feel like they didn't even listen... people like woscar, endyo, Greg Pidcock, Az, and all the other House nuts have such a wealth of knowledge that my comment of "there were some cool tracks, but I felt like it plodded along without a whole lot of entertaining moments" makes me feel like I just don't understand the genre well enough.

I do like your sound, Jay, and I respect it immensely, just the same as I respect all the TA DJ's. We all have our own style and sound, we're all incredibly creative when it comes to set structure and mixing styles, so I suppose feedback of any sort helps :) I'll download One Night on the Way To, and leave you some feedback!

Final bump.

Thanks again to all who downloaded and listened. I'm still having a hard time finding exactly the right tracks for it, but my next mix is going to be a double, with two hour long portions. The artwork was finished about two months ago by a friend of mine and looks superb.

I'm mostly listening progressive house, progressive trance and trance, but I'm getting more and more open to other styles as well. Just stumbled (no not via that website :p)upon your mix and just finished listening to it.

The start is nice, but I like the 2nd part of the mix more. Just personal taste. Good track selection there! :) Sometimes I miss a bit of melody but that's because of my musical background, I think. Sending this to some of my friends also. ;-)

Thanks for the share!

I contemplated doing that with my last mix (splitting it in two). I think it's something to keep in mind for the future (and as such create two contrasting mixes).

Anyway, looking forward to it. I've still gotta listen to your February mix though.

I always try and keep my mixes under 70 minutes because I like print CDs with the artwork on them and distribute them to my mates.

It's always such a fun way to do a music project, I did that with Taijitu and plan to do that with Taijitu Returns which will be released in a week or two. ;)
