Took a listen to it yesterday and am currently re-playing it. Holy it's freaking awesome, there are a lot of songs that really stand out and define the set for me - the filtered funk intro song, the Martini Brothers song, the one with the wobbly, pitch-shifted vocal, the uplifting piano song. The pacing was excellent - switching back and forth from techier, more percussive numbers to funky, hook-based tunes - it didn't ever fall into a rut that many tech/deep house mixes do.
Mixing is tight and on point, although I wasn't crazy how you mixed in Caminando during its beatless intro... it didn't really seem like it blended in well with the previous track because of this. It's a cool song, and it does work as a suitable end in the overall context of the mix. Still a small complaint, in an overall fantastic set. I expect this to get a LOT of plays for me, and a few of those songs will be sitting in my BP crate by the end of the day.
So now where's my next mix with Filo and Peri - Anthem on it :p :p :p

There's another video where it seems it didn't go down to well...no movement from the crowd.
I still think someone needs to do a Schindler's List remix.
:wtf:
Meat187
The Tiesto approved bit got me, I'll give this a try. Haven't listened to circle jerk House in a long time...

Damn it Jay, this is yet ANOTHER set where the tunes/style were unexpected. And I really liked it. My gf did too :p
Seriously though, what does a negro have to do around here to get you flicking through your collection, and recording a nice filthy techno set? I still listen to your older mixes quite a bit, but I want something new along those lines, since no one seems to be doing it any more

@Sushi, i just have not been buying stuff like that lately. What older set do you enjoy the most? Maybe when time permits i could go through some of the older stuff and do something in that style:)

I want Meet The Wangs, without meeting your wang :(
enydo
Meet The Wangs was sick, I think that was the first set of Jay's I heard. :p
I still need to listen to this, school just started up again and I've been going and goin. :(

ah i see...i'll try and do a "mnml ish" 3 deck techno set with lots of dj tools when time permits then:) It will have to be older stuff though, because i am just not feeling anything being released of that nature these days:)
One of the things i really like about your mixes and djing is the fact that you are willing to try different styles of mixing and sub genres from set to set. I give you major tiesto props for this :p
Overall I thought this mix was good , but i do prefer your other dirty tech house african - latin mixes .
The intro was great, I thought that was what the mix was all bout but then i noticed you switched to your usual sound later on but a bit more deepish than usual .some of the tracks at the beggining didn't do much for me , I noticed more vocals than usual , which does explain why it was made for your GF since we all know.... girls love vocals . mixing was tight as usual , nice flow some tunes i really enjoyed like "Dein Verlangen" , " hamka "
The mix really did it for me from Hamka tiill the end , I think at one point I heard 3 tracks playing together , whatever u did sir makes this a wonderfull thing to listen to.
I have listened to this more than 10 times today
Betoko - El Hijo De La Guayaba (Nils Hess & Henry Cullen Remix) [Eukatech]
Arnaud Le Texier & V Sexion - Funk Some Thoughts (Lemos Remix) [Safari Electronique]
Gorge - Forgot Your Shoes [Plastic City]
Catorze - Luscofusco (H.O.S.H.'s Staubschticht Remix) [Bloop Recordings]
Greatness Bro ;)
About " Caminando " all I can say is , How things where built up till that moment made it a perfect way to end this set .
I think of all of your mixes this is best end that i have heard from you .
Congrats for that bro .
2 last things
What did the Gf think about it ?
and
I found this and couldn't leave without posting it... # 44 :p
