yeah! I went to Together @ Roxy every week until it died. Tom Mello was always on point with the line up. I think the Highline should only assist in the opening. Roxy was more than a club, it was also a concert venue like the Highline venue. The area needs places like Roxy. |

yea but they are tryin to clean up that area (notice all the new condos)
i dont think the residents what to see the streets over there filled with clubbers leaving or goin to a club, the area has changed its not all industrial anymore, its all condos and alot of families walking around
but the funny thing was i was actually thinking about roxy today, and how i never went rollerskateing there and i always wanted to
i hope if they reopen it as a club, they reopen the rollerskateing part also |

| That block isn't residential, at all, you're thinking of some blocks over but not there. It is commercial properties and because of liquor zoning regulations, if they had a license at that location before and if there has not been structural change, they can get it again. The dance floor was the rink with the dj booth on the back of the center with booths around it. Bottle service didn't exist then and people piled up. On Tues or Wed, forgot which night, it was a rink/house party and you could rent skates. There was also a back room, Fridays during Together, Stretch Armstrong played hip hop. There is also a sky box with a black wall, you couldn't tell it was a door unless you pushed and it was full of couches. The whole place had couches, it was just perfect. I know if it opens, it will be a bottle service hell and you probably will have to drop paper to take a seat. |
