TOTA - Modded Car Thread *Personal Cars Only* Current Mods, Future Mods, Etc.
View this Thread in Original format
Playa24_7
There's a few threads on cars already but there isn't one to talk about your own personal car.

In this thread you can talk about your current car, what you've already done, what you plan to do, ideas for your car or others, give advice on mods or reviews on mods, places to have mods installed, pictures of your car, builds you're doing, etc.

Whether you have a muscle car, import, or luxury car, this is the place to post about it.

If you have pictures, post them up.

I sold my beloved MX5 before moving over here to NL.

But, here's what I had done to it:

-JDM motor (stock, just with a bigger clutch and chromoly flywheel)
-coilovers
-Konig Helium wheels with Falken Azenis in the summer, VW steelies and snow tires in the winter.
-CSC 4 point rollbar
-Sparco Sprint seat
-custom 2.5" exhaust without much of a silencer on it
-removable light rack, skid plate and rally odometer for winter rallies
-lots of battle scars

It was really starting to show it's age when I sold it (built in 89 for the 90 model year) and it was on it's 3rd motor (1st failed due to factory defect, 2nd got tired, I tried to rebuild a new motor from the best bits of both but the motor never worked right, bought a JDM motor and bolted it in). There was some rot along the rocker panels thanks to the amount of salt on the roads in winter. The front fenders were really rotten too but I didn't care much since those are just bolt-on bits. I knew every nut & bolt on that car, and had taken it apart down to the shell a few times to fix various things (I was really good at engine swaps and removing the gas tank to patch it). The gas tank weeped fuel onto the exhaust, but the exhaust was only just hot enough to cause the fuel to evaporate and leave a greasy mess on the exhaust, and not light on fire. Science!

I really miss it. A co-worker of mine just bought one here, and I've almost been happier than she has with her new purchase. She even let me take it for a spin too which made my day :)

Some day I'll own another one. Whether it's while I'm over here or not who knows.

:)

^^^ Don't be dissin' VTEC dude ... when it kicks in, it really kicks in. Add a Turbo on top of that, your smokin' a lot of cars on the road.

I remember in 1997, my buddy went out and bought a Integra Type R engine and a Turbo. I've never seen a car take off so hard before, it was unreal.

Here's my car, my teenage fav car of all times. I was super happy when I got it in May of this year.

it's been a good 6 years that I've been a mere pedestrian now, though I miss the lightly modded '90 Talon TSi AWD that was my last car (but not the constant maintenance issues) :\

haha yeah, it was a lot of fun.

I still remember that one morning after a night at Guv where we went for a proper tear up the empty Gardiner and DVP with the roof off. Fun times.
