Well i didnt want to miss tis....

but thats a robbery, $75...
phoenixBEBE
$75? no thanks.

call me crazy but i dont think any show is worth more than 40-45$, at least to see only ONE dj. esp not when u pay that amt to see a lineup DJS at all day European festivals...and when EZT was 45$ presale. omg I was cracking up when ppl were stuck paying 70$ to see Armin at Roseland. and that show was sooo not worth $70 bwhahahaa

man i still remember when Summerstage came out to be $25ish per ticket one year. i *think* that was 2004...and i also seem to remember PVD once mentioning that he wanted to keep ticket prices for his events steady becauase he wanted all his fans to be able to attend (and I loved it that he said that). But then again, *THAT* PVD of a long time ago is def not the PVD now for sure, in all ways possible.

Times change, oh well. Meh

One of these guys (DJ's) should throw a free concert to show fans the suppport they have given. Im sure PVD can afford this. And in todays market, that gesture would be worth more than what $ can buy..

hahaha U2 is epic, but the prices on stubhub are too crazy. I didnt buy my tickets in time so $320.00 for a 55.00 dollar ticket, no thanks.

Tiesto charges $60 a couple months out and pvd in cp is always sick I dont think neone can argue with that. Tiesto will prob be $90 at the door but yea 75 is too much....glad i got mine for like 40.

75 is outrageous but you guys should consider urself lucky massive events like that in montreal would be 75 bucks for the ticket for the presale!!! and thats without the fees and everything and then u get a lot less quality... i got mine at 45 on wantickets so it isnt that bad... btw anybody got suggestions on where to go after pvd? i was thinking andy moor but will we be able to pay at the door or its a order it now must? im gona be there friday saturday sunday night any suggestyions on anything to do restaurants anthing ill be at the ritz near central park any info is greatly appreciated!! thanks!

um i've been to montreal a 1000 times and never once have I paid $75 for a *single* DJ. Maybe huge events like Bal en Blanc or Black and Blue, but those events have 15+ DJ's they have to pay for......and they put on a HUGE production (decoration, lights, themes, and have to rent out ginormous spaces like the Palais du congres/Olympic stadium/Bell Centre, or some other venue that holds a massive amount of people. All reasons for higher prices, and TBH I never complained about those prices because they were JUSTIFIED.

:conf: totally not the same thing as one DJ in a park with average to below average lighting, and zero production besides the stage and the DJ.

The last two DJ's up there in Montreal were Sander van doorn and Markus Shulz, and they are $25 CAN at the DOOR. :conf: So I am confused as to which parties you think are $75??

haha yeah u know where those parties were held at?! red lite! have u ever been there i wouldnt even accept money to go see any dj at that place... then second pvd is 75 after it stoped on wantickets and after all the fees u know how much it costs to pay for a y set from a good dj with a poor sound system and lack of lights at bal en blanc? 2 weeks before the event about 2 hundred bucks ( abit less but whatev) !!! so i say that pvd 75 nxt weekend is expensive but that the 45 bucks plus fees that it was on wantickets is nothing...

you say a ty set from *a* DJ? there are ~15 DJ's at Bal en Blanc. plenty of selection (house/techno room and a trance room). And IMO if you dont like the lineup/music, you dont pay the money. Its that simple. The type of music that *you as a single person* enjoys, has LITTLE to do with cost of ticket purchase (and clearly, since 20,000+ people attend Bal en Blanc every year.....)

trust me, you can talk all you want about your "preference" in music, but the logisitics are that 15 DJ's, 15 hours and a huge convention center are going to cost MUCH MORE than *ONE* DJ for 4-5 hours. And the fact that I can pay the SAME for both is ridiculous and unjustified by the *SERVICES* provided (hence ticket price.)

The fact is, people are going to pay slightly more for PVD, Tiesto, etc, because they charge more and they have more popularity. But there is NO justification in comparing Bal en Blanc and PVD. WORST example ever, dude.

(Personally I wouldnt pay $75 for PVD OR $200 for Bal en blanc, though! I paid $75 for my VIP BAL ticket in the early stages and thats just a great price IMO. I just think its pure that I originally had other plans for PVD weeekend, and just because I change my mind I have to pay $75!! hell f*cking no. They lose costumers IMO, because they would have an extra $45 x's 3 if they had kept the prices the same....and even MORE based on opinions I have heard from late-buyers who have decided that its just too expensive!)

***btw I have been to opera, stereo, etc and still have never paid more than $30 for a night there, so I am not sure what you are trying to get at with the "red lite is ty" argument. Markus @ stereo? I still have the poster on my wall: $25 pre-sale.) ;) and Iknow you wont talk about stereo being a "ty sound system" ;)

If u didn't expect the prices to increase the week b4 this you are very dense.
