who said I didnt expect them to rise? But, in case you didnt realize by the reaction of MOST, people surely didnt expect it to go up to $75. Thats almost double the price, which is absurd, and again, based on my own, and others reaction, is NOT typical:rolleyes:
dont go throwing around insults about people you dont know anything about. really ing rude to just throw out that I am "dense" when in fact, you could have simply asked "did you not expect prices to rise?" |

baha alright ur telling me not to compare bal en blanc with pvd but yet u are comparing markus at stereo ... in my mind markus plays better sets than pvd but u cant compare cp with any of the venus in mtl lol and second its not about the style of music i like the sets the djs playu in montreal are usually really commercial and ty i mean stereo sounds system is sick but at pier 54 last year this sound and the lights and the set up were perfect for what it was and i would choose pvd in new york for 75 bucks over any dj at any venue in mtl for less |

actually i wasnt comparing the two at all. **YOU** had brought up that its costs "that much" in montreal, which is incorrect, because, like YOU said, comparing two totally different parties at different levels of production is ridiculous.
I was telling you that Bal en blanc has reasons for its price (the price to put on such a production clearly comes with costs, where as PVD, doesnt cost nearly as much as BEB). And, stereo and other clubs never charge $75...... thus my questioning where you would get that a single DJ in montreal costs $75. Granted, playing in Central Park is great, no denying that, but you are comparing apples with oranges.
I find it funny that you would initally compare PVD to Bal en Blanc and then assume that my argument would be Stereo vs. PVD. hahahaha! please read more carefully, I am not trying to insult you, but clearly you are not reading what I am writing!! |

you seem to be arguing a point that doesn't make too much sense. it sounds like you dislike red lite, having never been there i can't argue that point but how can you think $75 for one DJ is fair when in montreal you can see a number of top DJs for less in an assortment of venues? if what you are saying is that pvd at red lite for $75 is worse than pvd at central park for $75 i can see that. once you start talking about massives that just makes no sense. you can't compare a massive event to a standard club night; the prices are going to be obviously higher because the promoter brings djs who command top dollar.
also, as for pvd at the pier you are in the minority with your opinion on the sound. having spoken to a lot of people immediately after it sounded like the sound was pretty atrocious, that's probably a big reason why there aren't any parties there this summer. also check out last year's thread. |

I would take your ticket but I need two. Do you know anyone else that is looking to sell one too? Our weekend plans were changed because of the weather. |

This year I paid $ 160 to get into SPACE for PVD @ the winter Musik Conference:eyes: :(
$120 cover + $40 bribe to the bouncer at the door:toothless
but yeah $ 75 bucks is too much to go to CP:mad: maybe if it was a 6 hour set :toocool: |

I don't know about that. His last few outdoor shows have been horrible.
