cheers man, appreciate the honesty, will can that track ...
Storyteller
Haha. Don't worry that much it's more about the context (the rest of the track) you put it in anyway. And if you like it you shouldn't care about what I think :)

One person that you don't even know says that your lead is cheesy, and you just can it?! No offense, dude, but grow a pair already - if you like it, then finish it and put it out there. As Storyteller mentioned, there's no context, so there's no way to tell how it's going to sound in your track anyway.

I would personally go back to the drawing board. That was extremely hard on the ears.
Waza
i too thought it was harsh on the ears

Just a little too much flange imo.

Bah! Stop complaining people.

As stated by Storyteller, you can't decide if a lead is cheese or not by itself. It does totally depend on context.

Build something around it and then decide if the track is cheesy. If you like it, work with it.
If you are at the stage that you have to ask others what they think then bin the thing because you are already doubting your own creation. Make something that you feel so strongly about that you don't care what other people think. That's writing music.

This is some great advice here and something I have been changing in myself. If I have any doubt or have to ask someone else, its not worth
my time. It makes it time to move on.
