Experiences w/ Play de Record?

I'm considering buying some DJ equipment from Play de Record in Toronto. I don't know much about the store and, so, I'd like to hear about some of your experiences with it.
One thing I find kind of odd is the store's apparent no return policy. I spoke with someone at the store today and he told me he likes his customers to be "committed" to their purchases and, so, normally the store entertains exchanges only.
Thanks in advance for any help =) |

Although, for some odd reason they want $549 + tax even though all other stores in Canada are selling for around $459. The problem is that PdR seems to be the only store with the units in stock at the moment (of course, if anyone knows of other stores that have the units available please PM me and LMK!). The other retailers are expecting shipments to arrive next week (which is what Akai also told me). I'm going back and forth re: whether to wait and see what happens next week or just buy one now (for the extra cash). I've waited a couple of months now, so another week or so won't kill me (assuming they do actually come in next week). |

I've dealt with them many times, for Techs, CDJ's, mixers.......and of course records back in the day. Nav (dj Nasty Nav) is the owner and I would speak to him directly.
He's always looked after me and I've sent many peeps to him before too.... |

I'm getting myself one of those but not just now....its kinda pointless...give 6 months...it's still brand new man...else, buy it off ebay . I've bought a lot of electronics off ebay off power sellers and have had no issues at all. |

+1 I have had no problems buying electronics off ebay . My experiences with PdR have been good. I usted to get my vinyl there and also picked up my Sony headphones (best price in the city from what I remember) |

I thought it was obvious I'd pay for half the gas; I'll be clearer next time.
Either way, I'm not traveling to the States :) |

| Dude, take a trip to Moog Audio on Queen West. I think that's the best store for equipment... you can spend hours in there and not turn on a single thing :p |
