wow, I wish I started at 11am.
In my last year of Univ, my earliest class was 11am - most days I didn't have class until 1pm. This was /perfect/ for working out.
Most days I could wake up at 8-9, have a nice breakfast, head to the gym, do a solid workout, have a big lunch after then carry on with my day.
Once I fell into a 9-5 job my working out went to until recently.
It's really not /that/ hard to wake up an hour or two earlier, just need to make it routine, and make it a point to get to bed a bit sooner. First few times of waking up at 6:30 or so was a pain, but now I tend to start waking up before my alarm even goes off.
Even on days I don't work out I tend to wake up earlier (maybe 7 instead of 6:30, but still earlier than I was before working out). I find if I wake up early every other day instead of every day, it's harder to haul my ass out of bed. |

I have a regular schedule of 9 - 5:30, and I find that it's quite hard to wake up at 6:45 in the mornings. I am however motivated to try waking up at 6 and maybe run before going to work. I usually have time to do weights during my lunch break and sometimes I do cardio after work, but I could have more free time in the evening if I try to do it in the morning instead. I may attempt the routine change in the next few weeks.
I have never been a morning person, but maybe I will like it! After reading this thread it makes me think if other people can do it; then, why can't I? I guess we'll see;) |

I'm definitely not a morning person, not to say I couldn't wake up that early or make it a habit. But when my weekend sleep schedule is so wack sometimes, I find it easier to adjust by going to bed later during the week and sleeping as long as I can in the morning. Although, I do like the idea of working out in the am and having energy all day so maybe I'll have to reconsider. I've also heard that there more of a benefit to working out in the morning, body burning fat all day, rather than in the evening.
Thoughts on that?
Anyway, thanks so much for everyone's help. I really appreciate all the feedback. I've made some could contacts and I'm just waiting to hear back from a couple people before I decide, but it looks like I can get someone 3 times a week for around $100. I think that's pretty good.
Now comes the hard work I guess! |

The girls I knew used the "pump", not the weaker pills, and were pretty wired off of it. Of course, they were just taking it to stay thin and not really lifting weights or anything so I guess they weren't burning off the "energy"... |

All this talk about fitness is motivating me to get back to my old shape again.
I just booked a visit and a "Body Pump" class at Goodlife this weekend, and look at a membership. |
