These videos should seriously be shown to all high school students IMO. Some dumb bitch texting someone hit my dad and brother a few years ago.. The penalty should be the same as DUI in my opinion.

I'm sure it is pointless to broadcast this here in Brazil (and probably in the US): If you show people that texting and driving is dangerous, they're bound to get bigger cars and keep texting :p

The annoying thing about these is the representation of the motorist being in the wrong, rather than the dumb ass pedestrian blundering out on the road without looking and getting cleaned up by 2 tonnes of metal.

Yea it does if the driver isn't being a ing moron. Even a metre stopping distance is the difference between a bump and instant death.
