Chill. I'm sure we all hate Armin Van ****** (pardon me if you're gay) more than Tiesticle. |
1) What does that have to do with anything?
2) How could you possibly hate anyone you've never even met? |

#1. They're both ruining Trance.
#2. I've never met Lucifer, but I hate him. |

Again - what does that have to do with this thread at all?

Comparing real people to fairytales - interesting logic. |

You asked the question. I've never met Bin Laden and I hate him too. I suppose he is a fairytale too? What about Hitler. I hate him. What about the guy who murdered my father? I never got to meet him, but I hate him. You asked the questions, there are your answers.
And it has everything to do with the topic at hand. Tiesto is ruining Trance, and this thread shines light on yet another example of how he is doing it.
Why are you so crazy about Tiesto? What did he ever do that was so great? |

Ruining trance? :stongue:
Jesus Christ, then don't ing listen. EDM has so many genres and tracks out there I can't believe people let DJs get to them so much. And as if you would compare them to people like Hitler and Bin Laden, the is wrong with you?
Why are avid music fans often so petty and irrational? |

Where did I say I was crazy about Tiësto?
You went on a crazy rant about him even though the tracks in question have nothing to do with him which is what I find absolutely bizarre. |

| Nothing. He asked a question and I answered it. I never compared anybody to anyone. I don't listen to Tiesto and havn't heard a set of his since 2005 and it was only the first song I shut it off after that. However, it is impossible not to notice what he is doing and what Armin is doing albeit on a much larger scale, and that is monopolizing Trance. It's a shame too, because back in the day their technology was not anywhere near the power we have these days, yet music from years ago is so much more diverse and well thought out. Today, we have single synth power houses that can do it all yet the music has never sounded as stagnant as it does now and there are reasons, and people, to blame for that. And no, it's not just Tiesto and AVB, but they're a large part of the problem. |

Again, why so defensive? If you feel something I have said is inaccurate feel free to correct me.
Read the original post carefully if you can't understand why we're bashing Tiesto. |

I'm not the one making Lucifer/Hitler defenses.

Perhaps you should read the follow-ups too. |

Let me just quote the (IMO) most important post here:

Of course no one seems to realize(Or, someone does but hasn't pointed it out) that both releases are a cover of Format - Solid Session. The Mac and Mac version actually credits it, but I don't think the Ram version does (Haven't seen any mention of the original at least). |

Well then you seem like the type of person who would blame anyone that's on top. Switch Tiesto with Gareth Emery and Armin with Ferry Corsten and you would most likely say the exact same things. |
