I'll be in Montreal for the whole weekend with 5 guys, and I was just wondering if any of you could reccomend some good places to go party. We're going to arrive Friday night and will be staying til MOnday. We've got tix to oakenfold @ aria but we'll be hitting the regular hours places first.
Any suggestions? Chez Paré is already on the itinerary :D
We're staying at the crowne plaza, so we're close to everything. |

Friday is not a big night in Montreal.. not that many things are happening here.. So, I would recommend you to probably go out on crescent street to at least check it out or go to 737.. Either areas are not that great, crowd-wise and music-wise... but on a Friday, it will be hard to find anything better...
Now, Saturday's are a different story. I strongly recommend St-Laurent for the whole night.
Start the night off at one of the many St-Laurent restaurants (Red Thai, Shed Cafe, Buena Notte, Sofia, etc.). They are all in the St-Laurent - Prince-Arthur area.
Then, follow up by going to one of these resto-bars-lounges on St-Laurent (until approx. 12:30 or 1AM). I would recommend you to hang out at Sofia (crazy atmosphere with people dancing on tables, music is okay), Bubbles (even though it is a bit snobby), Cafeteria (for a more loungy latin-funky house atmosphere), etc.
Then, at 1AM, move over to a club.. You could go anywhere on St-Laurent. I personally recommend Illume; it has a great atmosphere usually, plus it has some nice beds/couches to start an E-trip on.. My favorite place before going to an afterhour. I would go there early if I were you because its hard to get in unless ure on the guestlist (so, before 12:30AM if possible)..
As soon as you get out of Aria, depending on teh time, either go to watch teh World Cup or go to Beach Club (after after hour on the beach) or to the Tam Tams on the mountain...
On Sunday night, go to living for a great progressive house/trance night
Hope this helps..

Actually, I almost forgot.. I personnaly strongly recommend you to check out Danny Howells @ Aria on Sunday night..
I know that it might be hard to make it two long and late nights in a row; but Howells is well worth it |
