who's got them?
i have them really bad. i've been having the nastiest sinus infection-like symptoms for a month now and i finally went to the doc thinking i needed antibiotics, but apparantly it's normal to have pink and purple mucus in your nose and dark circles under the eyes when you have severe allergies.
i'm supposed to be on singulair but i hate taking pills every day. does anyone take singulair or allergy meds? do they work?
this sucks:( |

I have been in the states now on holiday for like 4 months now and since i got here i have been suffering from allergies. I have always had a seasonal thing going on back home.
BUT i know how you feel I have only just got red of it the last few weeks. And, i resorted to taking all sorts of tablets too. It's really crazy though how allergic we are to things and there are tons of things that bring out a reaction.
I terms of something you can have - I have taken Star Anise (i think its called that ) boil some in water and sip on it while its hot (make it strong). that can help.
but its hard i think you really need to know what creates your allergic reaction, because it goes beyond just pollen i think.
but try that it may help, look it up on google to see if it may help you |

well i always associated dark green mucus and pink mucus with sinus infections because that's what my doc always told me but she looked up my nose and said it's more of a purple color which is basically allergy-related.
you have no idea how disgusting some of the i blow out of my nose/cough up is sometimes. i can't even believe my bf is still with me seeing me hack all this up for 10 minutes every morning. lol :wtf: |

| Apparently, I'm not sure this counts as an allergy but, whenever I eat meat (even when I'm not aware of it), acne appears all over my face. In small quantities, it doesn't really bother me, as they're ordinary pimples in that stage. But, when I used to eat meat... hell, I could swear a mushroom would spring from under my skin :nervous: |

| im not allergic to many things in terms of foods. i had a bad reaction from a mango/mango tree one time and i've avoided them ever since. i'm allergic to penecillin and that's it. i can pretty much eat anything (and i do lol). it's the whole hay fever/pollin that is really affecting me. |

| I'm lucky enough not to be allergic to anything. |

My nose is stuffed up all the time. It sucks.
Since I got an AC unit in my room the air is really dry too, so my nose is like dry stuffed up! |

Maybe you have a mold/fungal problem in your house. Not too long ago the Mayo Clinic discovered that mold was the cause of 96% of all chronic sinusitus problems after decades of people thinking it was almost exclusively related to allergies... which means antibiotics would not help, but rather antifungal medication. You might want to have your place checked out. |

I deal with this every morning as well. My girlfriend's allergies are so bad that we can't even keep the windows open when it's nice out, the AC always has to be on to purify all the allergens out of it. They've been especially bad lately. |

they recommend to stay in doors with the AC on if you have allergies. but again it depends on what type of allergy you have.
i think its really hard to pin point it given the vast variety of allergens that are about could be anything. just chop and change everything in your life, from foods to soaps etc and anything else you can think of |
