helps that Guv is massive, always full and is a nightclub that sells booze too, that's a big reason why they get who they get there. Montreal needs more asians :p

funny you say that, I used that term to describe asian friend at work today :p

but yeah, culturally, politcally, socially, and maybe economically too, edm is supported in Montreal for sure. Montrealers like their arts, sports, parties, hedonist stuff.

Screw it I'm fighting the power Toronto is better than MTL............ KIDDING.. seriously.

I was born in TO and lived there for a bit as a kid but you couldn't pay me enough to move back there. However moving to MTL isn't out of the question. I keep being asked by friends/boyfriend in MTL to move there though. Now to only improve my french by 1000%

I believe that would be nashville.

Anyways BeB is prolly the biggest rave in Canada.. Look at any major festival, regardless of music genre, the headliners are always commercial acts that drag in the masses.. Without the headliners 1000 people show up, prolly all from TA.. Like it or not festivals, to me anyways, are more about the full experience, which has to do more with the crowd and ambiance almost as much as the the music... If all you wanna do is listen to good music, invest in a quality pair of headphones and stay home. I don't care how crazy the soundsystem, lights, or even the music is, if the crowd isn't there i'm not having fun. Dancing with 8000 other people going crazy fuels me.

for the Leafs sucking as much as they have been in the past many years. Their fan base is still huge. Mainly in Toronto area and southwestern Ontario (my homelands)... but still kind of amazing.
