I am afraid to answer that. However today they seem to have a better idea how to handle some items people are bringing in. They are cool with glowsticks and backpacks full of random items you may need. Last night I saw a kid dancing with a full bottle of vodka. How he managed that I have no idea.
Now that I'm currently back for day 2 you can tell that riverside has overrun mainstage as being the most popular. The sound is great and Jerome isma-ae is getting the crowd moving nice and early. |

I had a ING BLAST!! Perfectly planned event. It really had that European feel to it. We stayed in riverside tent almost the entire night. Chris Lake, Roger, Chus and Cebellos, Rivera, and Benassi......WOW all of them were amazing. Lake, Chus and Cebellos were my favs though. We went over to the main stage to check out Deadmau5. I never saw him before and I will say I will never go out of my way to see him again. Sorry but he was just straight up boring!! I've never seen somebody on the main stage with THOUSANDS of people in front of him........and I could literally count on one hand how many people had there hands in the air LOL........FAIL. We went straight back to River side arena and the energy level was night and day. We stopped back at the main stage later to see the rest of Armin's set and of course, he had his hands in the air doing the "jesus pose" more than he was DJing. He's pathetic, same old boring ass tracks. I agree, the old Armin was so much better but hey, it's not like we don't all expect it. Once those guys are raking in that kind of money they are no longer in it for the music and it really shows. That being said the Main stage was pretty sick and the view was great......I just wish the music there was better. Did'nt get to see Ben Watt but I'm sure he ripped it.
It was really good to see so many people that I have not seen in literally months, years.....and great to meet a few new faces. Wish I was going back today but I'm flying to Brazil in a few hours :D |

First of all, good seeing some old faces. Hopefully next time it wont be so long in between. It was good to meet some new people, especially the people from the NYTA football league.
The music was great. I definitely got my money's worth and it was well worth the drive from Pittsburgh. Got there during Chris Lake and stayed at the Riverside tent most of the day. Soooooo hot but it didn't matter. The energy was great. Went over to see Deadmau5 and was very disappointed. I enjoy his sets that I download but he didn't do it for me live. Benny Benassi killed it at the end of the night. I'm mad that we left to go check out Armin. Not sure if he played any good tracks but he managed to act like a clown and I was disappointed. Just got back from Day 2 and had a great time. Ferry killed it. Great energy and very little fluff. ATB was really good too. Was disappointed with Desyn. He started off great but then started playing d&b/jungle. I thought it was cool at first but I didn't expected him to go back to house at some point and he didn't. I didn't drink much so I can't complain about beer prices. However, I did think they were ridiculous. The cups could have at least been a little bigger. Plenty of bathrooms and free water (after you bought the first one) If this is their first huge event then the sky is the limit. |
