people always assume i am Italian because of my name, but i'm actually of English/German/French descent.

There is a certain "look" that can fit into most mediterranean countries. My dad looks a lot like Luiz Felipe Scholari(who infact looks like a typical turkoman despite being brazilian). Can't you see how Scholari's appearance can be passed off for a bunch of ethnicities?
