There are also hispanic people from Chile, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, etc, who look just like you.

Pretty much every latino country.

well yea i was aware that there are light skinned/blonde spanish girls but i mean freckles and german/irish features/bone structure? that was news to me, i didn't realize how much of a european influence some of the south american cultures have in their genes.

The reason why I posted this thread, actually, is because specially in the new world, this whole "it looks like you're from X" is meaningless, and it's funny how people are bad at telling who is(n't) from their country.

You look an awful lot like a cousin of mine, for example, and she's Brazilian as well. I've got German blood myself (hell, my blood has more different origins than the US has member countries!), so it's no wonder she looks "Germanish" and my aunt (this cousin's mother) also had tons of freckles.

Besides, South America is just as European as North America. The main difference is that the Iberian settlers were more eager to hump the locals than those puritan puritans from the North :p

yea you're right it's pointless. i was always under the impression that all greeks had that dark dark skin with black hair and big noses and then i started coming across more and more blonde blue eyed greeks...even dated one (so hot lol).

i'm pretty good at differentiating between all the asian cultures too. especially if i know their name/hear them talk in their native language. probably because i spent 2 years in japan and had lots of asian friends (phillipino, japanese, korean).
tubby
I can understand why everyone speaks to me in afrikaans to me when I am in south africa, but the one I cannot figure out is why mainland chinese folks ask a white boy like me for directions when I'm in singapore. surely i don't look local to them.
