| so can anybody tell me why the clubs in montreal close at 3 and then other ones open at 3? why not just have one that opens normal and stays open way into the morning? |

In Toronto most EDM clubs will stay open past 2. I don't know of any that kick everyone out at last call. At the very least people can order a last round of drinks and stay until 3am. By 3am all alcohol has to be off the tables. The clubs are then free to stay open later.
Most clubs playing the music we all listen here to will stay open until 4 or 5, with many going until 6 or 7 on a weekly basis. Special events on long weekends can keep clubs open later.
I was in Montreal this weekend and having to leave a club at 3 and then wait in line and pay another cover to go to the only afterhours downtown (circus), was a buzzkill. I'd rather stay in the same place from 11 - 7.
Like FunkenLouis said, the law in Quebec is different. Last call means you have to close too. In Toronto last call means you can't serve alcohol, but you can stay open later. |

damn that is one stupid law. how come it is ok to open afterhour clubs at 3 then? no alcohol i guess? |

i made another thread on what to do on saturday aug 15th but it looks like we are going to party hard on the friday aug 14th instead of sunday because the drive home on sunday would be ruff if we partied to hard on sat. so basicly what is the best club to hit up on friday night?(14th). i looked around a bit but i couldnt find much. i think karma club with Rokks & Piront would be my best bet? any help would be great as i have never partied in montreal before.

Hey guys, so my friends and I are planning a trip to Montreal from August 27-30, so Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights to party. I was wondering if there are any special events during that week, or just generally what are some good clubs to go to for some nice house music and good crowd, preferably a little younger (18-20).

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I'm going up there to party with my friends and we're all in the range of 18-20, so we're looking for clubs with more people, preferably in our age range that play pretty decent EDM, no top40 crap. A club that's know for a lot of fine looking young women would be good too ;).
So far I'm thinking of Opera and Tribe. What do you guys say about those places? |
