That's probably the most drama in drama in tennis history. Costing a U.S. Open semi-finals. And threatening to kill the line person. I hope she gets kicked out of the Women's Tennis Association along with a hefty fine. If they let her off with just a fine what does it show for the sport itself letting someone threaten an official and get off that easily. I'm sure if it was someone that wasn't as big Serena she would get kicked out. Sean Avery got kicked out of the NHL for saying something less offensive.

Are you kidding bud???

Why don't you goto you tube and type in John McEnroe...

If stuff like this happened in every tennis match I might pick watching tennis over watching paint dry.

he's stayed out of it. Originally on the telecast he was upset that it was called, but after he began to see the scale in which this would be interpreted he kept quiet. Of course, the other people on air jabbed at him a little bit and he took it with good humour.

the difference between the two is that he just swore and broke rackets....he never threatened the life of line person.

I copied this from another board for truth...

quote:
I don't think the point is whether Serena "threatened" anyone less we are to believe she intended on following through, which is ridiculous to say the least, it's the behavior, and the behavior was similar to McEnroe. McEnroe constantly got off light, whereas people are calling for Serena's head.
