MacBook Users: Where to Buy Additional RAM (Memory)?

I have a 15" MacBook Pro (bought a few months ago): 2.53Ghz, 2GB ram, 160GB hard drive, etc.
I'd like to add another 2GB of RAM to bring the total to 4GB.
Where is a reputable place to buy quality RAM for MacBooks? I'm interested in physical stores--not online retailers--in the Mississauga area. Apparently, the Apple Store at Square One is sold out (plus, I figure the Apple people will likely overcharge me).
Anything I should about adding RAM to my MBP?

here are the specs for your macbook pro ram if you dont have it already
-Double Data Rate Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (DDR3) format
-30mm (1.18 inch)
-2 GB or 4 GB
-204-pin
-PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 MHz type RAM
the pro has two memory slots. if you have 2gb right now then chances are you have 2x1gb which means you will have to remove those (possibly sell them) and buy 2x2gb.

| Be careful if buying Kingston, some Kingston ones don't work on the Macs. Crucial is the best as Dior says. |

Q: Do you have apple care? because if so and you yourself install the ram and not a certified apple technician it null and voids it so i was told at the apple store not to long ago ...
i was considering doing the same thing you are, till apple just replaced my Macbook Pro :) |

Will they really know if you install the ram on your own?
Is there some kind of seal? because its pretty straightfoward to install. I didn't have any seals that were required to break.
I purchased Mushkin 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SODIMM for my Macbook a while ago and have had no issues with it.
Got a great deal on it too. Bought it from Memory Express located in Alberta.

Not true, you can change RAM and HDD on your Macs and it won't void the warranty (The manual even tells you how to do it). Just don't stab a screwdriver or push in the RAM so hard that it breaks the slot. The Apple store employees probably just said that so you have to come in and do it at the store.

Tiger Direct in Heartland mavis + britannia in front of rona, next to everything for a dollar store. The guys that work in there know there shyte.... price are always cheaper then future shop and best buy.....
Canada Computer is located @ mavis + eglinton next to no frills, hours of operations are ......good prices none the less |

| i have a mac book pro and its stacked 4 gig of ram and all that. but when i use ableton LIVE after so many plug ins (nothingout of the ordinary when making a track) my CPU is way high and i cant continue. does this make sense or is somethig worng with the RAM i added.. Cuz i thought this was supposed to be a strong computer |
