nou, you do realize that it is easier to get financing (unless you want to start a business 100% with your own funds which...is better avoided if you can get someone to stake you as a non majority partner) if you have great professional and educational credentials than if you can slalom good?
just saying, yeah this was stupid. |
Yea, but to be fair its really easy to start a development firm with little to no starting cash. We can telecommute right now (though I would like to have him be here in the long run, he lives in Calgary) and we just need to purchase license for CS and pretty much all my development tools are free and open source. |

School, you ing idiot. |
I like the premise here; school; and then the your a ing idiot part.
I'd say go to school; in your free time snowboard; and while you are at it ask random hot chicks to mate behind bushes. |

I doubt Jay has been fired from his jobs for talking about his bosses ;)
He also has more business opportunities than you... with your fail-proof "gonna get the ball rolling on a development firm on something that we don't really know with a dude that I know without a solid plan". God, you really think that snowboarding all winter is going to help you make money and succeed? |

actually that is false.
when i was younger i thought i knew everything and was very vocal. i also enjoyed life a little too much instead of thinking ahead zip;)
the wiser you get you realize that you don't talk, you show by example. You can ramble all you want about how things can be better, or you can do things that make it better. I was worse off older, because it took me longer to realize this. I have a good job because i took a few lucky chances, accepted help from contacts who respected the risk, and i keep the job because i am good at it.
Had i not hit "rock bottom" professionally due to my negative attitude, i would never have gotten anywhere. I also am eternally grateful for those who helped me by not letting me think i was always right.
You want money? you take it instead of complaining at not having any.
I'm not any different than anyone else. I learned from mistakes, not because i have had handed to me. |

your decision is your decision.
Your decision for you to post your indecisiveness such a frivolous dilemma, well, that's just blatantly requesting TA to be your livejournal. |
