the wiser you get you realize that you don't talk, you show by example. You can ramble all you want about how things can be better, or you can do things that make it better. I was worse off older, because it took me longer to realize this. I have a good job because i took a few lucky chances, accepted help from contacts who respected the risk, and i keep the job because i am good at it.

Had i not hit "rock bottom" professionally due to my negative attitude, i would never have gotten anywhere. I also am eternally grateful for those who helped me by not letting me think i was always right.

You want money? you take it instead of complaining at not having any.

I'm not any different than anyone else. I learned from mistakes, not because i have had handed to me.

no one cares asshat

Hey man, nothing wrong with going a little crazy, as long as you learn from it. If Nou decides to go hang out on the slopes all winter, that's his choice, and I wish him the best in trying to start his own company. However, your money came from your risk taking in the business world, but you had a very specific set of circumstances that led you to your success. I am a few semesters away from a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, and I've spent almost an entire year in the field, learning how businesses work first-hand. The way that Nou is expecting success to happen is flawed, as finding clients is a lot harder than saying "hey uh... do your business with me because... I can snowboard?"

Btw, Nou, you are the worst troll I have ever seen. Troll someone with insults against their family and statements rather than just quoting their ing post and saying "uh no". Just makes you look like the ;)

true, because the end result is all that matters.

my reality (not nou's) is that i sit here thinking how much more it could be by not making stupid mistakes as little as 2 years ago. 2 years is not a long time;) In a professional sense it can be an eternity if you don't have the contacts.

People succeed by 1) getting lucky 2) knowing the right people, or 3) busting their ass. Jay, it seems like you had a little bit of all 3. I have been busting my ass since I was 12 years old, competitive swimming taught me to never accept failure, and always work harder than the people around you. Sure, I'm lazy sometimes, I post on TA and I don't always get the best grades, but when it all comes down to it, I will have TONS of experience to show to business professionals and they will be more likely to give me a try rather than say "oh, he's risky but we will give it a shot."

I mean... in all honesty Jay is trying to give you legitimate advice.

ing seriously. He can't listen, all he's trying to do is try to be funny, and in reality, he's going to fail miserably and blame it on everyone else but himself. God I ing hate people, especially fat worthless slobs like Nou who expect everyone else to do his for him.
