This guy is totally on his period! nothing but threads flaming and swearing. Chill out dude cant you just get along? |

it's hard to pick up on sarcasm on the internet, that's for sure. you'd have to know that TA personally to be able to know if they're serious or not. at least for me that's how it is. |
i have this problem sometimes as well.

If people were with me IRL they would see the wry grin or cheeky smile that goes along with much of my cuntly commentary. |
this is actually kinda good to know; because sometimes hard to tell if you're being a sarcastic little bastard or serious.
in any case, the cor always has some nastiness. technically the whole "frenchie" thing is kinda nasty. perhaps deserved, but it's still nasty.
but yeah, there's always going to be some "nastiness" in here. i mean, there's nastiness in real life too...just gotta deal with it and keep on smiling :) |

yea it was a little too ambient for me, but i mean it was cool to relax to. my bf happened to come home all stressed and exhausted from working outside all day and he laid down and i had it playing and he was like, "oh man, this music is perfect for right now" :stongue: |

This is funny.
You were railing on conspiracy theorists the other day for using inductive logic rather than deductive, and yet you're doing exactly that now. Were we arguing that all people are a certain way and I provided an anecdotal example, then it would be close to useless. However, in this case, you are arguing that no one can be happy or positive all the time, and I have provided you with evidence of such a case. I can't possibly see how your theory could therefore still be accurate.
If a scientist said "all monkeys have brown hair" and another person finds one without brown hair, then the first person is obviously wrong. |

No I wasn't. The only thing I said about conspiracy theorists "the other day" was that they're unable to distinguish the credible from the ludicrous.
"My mate Dave" is not scientific, for several reasons. The first is that he is not a repeatable experiment: I cannot observe Dave for myself and have only your information to go on. Ergo, any argument I make against Dave will be based on blind guesswork, which is easily shot down. If Dave was observable then I could integrate him into my theory or modify my theory accordingly.
Anyway, quite beyond that, you haven't proven that Dave doesn't get annoyed or unhappy. You've merely stated that he doesn't show any outward signs of these emotions when he's around you. |

Okay, so you were assuming I'm an idiot and don't know my friends. I've known the guy for 15 years, and I'm telling you, he doesn't get angry or upset often, even on the inside.
Throughout our high school years his brother would steal large sums of money from him on a monthly basis, and when I ask why he hadn't retaliated, he would just shrug and say "it's not worth it, it doesn't bother me."
You are being very close-minded by refusing to accept that such people exist. I can think of four or five people I know who are genuinely like this. The people with the fake "oh my god I'm so happy it hurts" facade are very easy to spot. |
