Well, the host city of the Games will be announced at the 121st IOC Session to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, on the 2 October 2009. That is, this Friday.
So, what city do you think the IOC will pick? Why?
Personally, I think both Chicago and Rio are the favourites but, because no Olypic Games have ever been held in South America, and the country will certainly be ready for such a big event, given the fact that we'll have hosted the World Cup in 2014, Rio is more likely to host it.
I don't think Madrid and Tokyo stand much of a chance because of the recent Games in Beijing and Athens, however. What do you guys think?
edit: I accidentally a whole paragraph :p |

My thoughts egg-- oi, who are you calling Lower World? :p
Seriously, though, I think the Brazilian population will think of this as our "official recognition" as a developed country in some sense. That's why most people around here think China and South Korea got it anyway. |

I would like to see Rio get it, because it is pretty much always in the northern hemisphere. |
