Haha you stupid fagot, you don't know what I like. I might come now just to knock your gap teeth through the back of your neck. The skinny scarf crowd really doesn't do it for me, it's almost as bad as the Pacha crowd. |

Aw, did I hurt your feelings.
BTW, I don't really remember seeing too many skinny scarves at any of the Bunker or Resolute parties.
Enjoy your time off. Do us a favor and make it permanent. |

Very inconvenient. Jersey ppl drive anyway, they can drive across the tunnel. NYC ppl (a big part) doesn't drive because we can depend on the transportation system, it would be a nightmare to try to come back to the city cracked out in public transportation. Cabs are expensive from/to NJ. Unless they provide a shuttle, but then they would have to spend a lot in tolls, gas and shuttle rental. Of course, this is all IMO. |
That's what I'm saying... There's the PATH subway train ($1.75 and accepts Metrocards), 10 minutes to either downtown or 34th St. (two routes) that has stops near all the industrial neighborhoods perfect for a warehouse party in Jersey City.
:)
Would be way more convenient for most NYers, but obviously not for Brooklynites... Really depends on how many Brooklyn people they attract to tell whether or not it's a good or bad idea...
But yeah, there are some spaces that make Crobar feel like a sideroom around here, anyone on TA in the area can vouch for this! |

Yeah, I know all about this, I used to live in JC. Every time I went out and partied a little too much, I HAD to take a cab back to JC. Ppl just reach a point when public transportation isn't enough, it's better to have access to cabs for everyone's convenience. It's not a good idea to ask ppl who do not have cars to cross state lines. It's just easier for Jersey ppl to come into the city, the majority of ppl in Jersey already drives and has cars and are used to coming to the city.
Plus, a lot of the people that go to reSOLUTE and BLK|Market are Brooklynites, including the organisers of the events. Remember, all those techno hipsters have come from the same place. Sure, there's ppl coming from all over, but a lot from BK. Hell, even I'm considering leaving Manhattan for BK. Cheaper rent, more space, none of this nonsense about police surveillance cameras in the streets... it has become much more appealing than any other borough. |

it is not only blk market. alot of other promoters throw parties in brooklyn and they get good responses.
I just don't see why they would move it if it's at its prime now. Maybe in a few years when ppl get bored of the venues.
I've been here for almost 3 years and went to my first party in Jersey last Thursday.. and I basically went to see my son play. :haha:
I love Brooklyn Day parties - haven't been to a night one yet haha but I am sure I'll love it. |

| You get a better crowd in Brooklyn, hands down. There is more flexibility having long events in Brooklyn, last weekend was a good example. Also, you get away from the douchenozzles in Brooklyn. |

There are soooo many parties going on in BK warehouses that are never even mentioned here on TA that have been going on for years and are amazing. Rubulad parties are crazy, same with the Danger parties. Wolf + Lamb used to do some retarded (3rd ward comes to mind) some 3 years ago, now they do it @ The Marcy. Does anybody remember the FP loft parties?? Or Andrew Vogt's Brooklyn Tuning? Even Ms. Williamsburg was awesome (even though a legal venue, now prob brand new waterfront condos). Then the cops started cracking down on every party going on illegally and they all fell off the radar for about a year. It's only a matter of time until we have no more warehouse parties as we know them now, but let's enjoy them while they're here (in BROOKLYN).
