It pretty much was an amateur film... it started out in film festivals in the U.K. and just took off from there. Nice review, Captain Superficial.

#1, putting out 2 good movies the british have made in the thousands of films that are out there doesnt prove . Give a hundred monkies typewrites and infinite time, and theyll produce the works of shakespeare. Thats just a quote thats funny and kinda works here, dont take offense, try smilin once. anyways. That was my critique, if you dont agree, go have a cup of tea and shut the up, because I dont need a personal attack because my opinion is different. And I understand that rave culture is a way of life, an attitude yada yada. But they spent too much time bullting with eachother. Lot of extraneous stuff. Part of the problem is I came in with a thought of what it would be, because people compared it to Groove...which is completely different. The feeling I got was that these people were thinking to themselves "OH MY GOD IM IN FRONT OF A CAMERA! WOOT!" I felt like they were tryin to not look at the camera. Again, I just didnt like it. I hold nothing against those of you who did like it, I just got something different out of it...sall good.

Basically you can say that about anything. Someone doesn't like comedy movies and you can give em' a list and they can just use something like that to back it up. I'm sure that there are tons more amazing british movies but since I'm in Canada I don't really see many of them but from what I have seen I like some while I don't like others. |

NICE ONE BRUV!
I saw the movie before going to go see Tall Paul a few months back. My friends and I stood in front of the DJ booth screaming NICE ONE BRUV! and had a group of 10-15 ppl around us doing the same. Paul smiled at us. It was quite cool.
Human traffic is a great movie. Compare it to other B movies, and you will see its actually quite well done.
Orbax, IRL not everyone is good looking. The highs dont last forever. This movie shows this quite clearly.
Its not meant to have all the glitz of a hollywood production |

You better get a few more monkeys to help you with the typing, since you're too busy to take an extra 2 seconds to get my name right. And if you can critique the movie, why can't I critique your post? Fair's fair, right?
/me grabs a cup of tea anyway
I find Groove is really an idealistic, PLURry look at the rave scene, and while the premise kicked ass the characters and dialogue were pretty weak. Human Traffic is more of a down to earth look at people who just want to party and have a good time. They basically toured the club scene, and I don't think the movie even mentioned the word "rave" at all.
hehehe snatch is great too.... Tyrone's the best.
"I thought you said he was a getaway driver. What the can he get away from, eh?"
"What'd you do that for?"
"I didn't see it there."
"It's a four ton truck, Tyrone. It's not as though it's a packet of ing peanuts, is it?"

Oh come on! The beauty of it is that it's British..
Just like it was mentioned above a few times, it is good cause it's not Hollywood and it's realistic.
European cinema is the most artistic (ie. the best) in the world. Isn't film still a form of art? To Americans it is not and never was. US has MAYBE a few good producers here and there worth watching & mentioning (1 in a 100 million), the rest just aim for box office high, computer-generated special affects and eye-candy (implants, anorexia, muscles, platinum-blonde hair etc. etc.) - without creativity and especially talent in film making. And what's even worse is that the society supports it.
WHY is beyond me..
I am boycotting American movies. Waste of time & money. |
