Brisbane has a lot of rednecks, and from time-to-time there are gay bashings reported. It's getting better over time though.

i've never heard of a gay bashing in brisbane in the last 2 years.. got any links?

Yes, but that douche is annoying full stop, nothing to do with his gayness its his dreadfull personality that is the problem.

On one of the podcasts i listen to they played his rant after he got punched in the face by the Black Eyed peas manager.

But seriously, listen to this ( http://perezhilton.com/2009-06-22-my-statement ) and tell me if you dont have the urge to punch him in the face yourself.

on a serious note, however, there's actually some proposed legislation to end DADT out there by a senator from pennsylvania. personally, i'd like to see it go away. so many people getting kicked out or not even able to join because they're gay.
