NYC, work in a major law firm...definitely not a problem for gays. I really could care less.

My hometown...not so gay-friendly. Everyone I know that's come out has left before doing so. Some of them I kind of suspected while I was in high school, and I'm glad for their sakes that they moved to major cities where people are more tolerant.

I live in a working class, former mining town. There was only one gay kid at school and while he received a bit of abuse, I don't remember him being particularly bullied. There's definitely underlying prejudice, and probably a couple of people who don't want to come out, but no hate mobs or anything.

I'm engaged to a bisexual and one of my best friends is gay - I met both at my workplace. So yeah...

i don't think there are a lot of gays here, but i think for being texas the tolerance here is pretty high.. i think going to the gay club is ultra fun, watching drag queens & their little events is amusing. ;)

I live in a red state, but a very tolerant town. Still some homophobes around but not as bad as other parts of the state. We have a 'pride in the pines' festival every year that is a blast. It isn't a 'lets be gay in public' festival, more so promoting tolerance festival with beer.
My boss is really cool, she is lesbian, and was part of the whole san fran/milk scene in the 60's. Pretty cool to hear her talk about it.

Then why are you so goddamn crabby all the time? You .

And I'm not sure what's more shocking, your fiance being bisexual or someone actually agreeing to spend the rest of their life with you. Wow.
