The furthest picture we have ever taken in to space, absolutely mind bending! (pg. 3)

You should read up on quantum mechanics..especially the double slit experiment.

Judging from the conclusions we've drawn about subatomic particles it seems that they are in MANY places at once..and things like light and energy can travel through many paths simultaneously before deciding where to be when you actually observe them. If this is true of the tiniest particles of matter, since we are no more than large chunks of quantum matter, it seems inevitable that everything in existence is in a constant in a state of quantum flux.. In other words, everything you might think about or do in the next second, you ARE doing in one quantum reality or another. Every choice you could possibly make IS HAPPENING in every fraction of your life..and the one that you happen to experience is merely the collapse of one of trillions of wave functions. Your life and the universe as a whole is actually branching out constantly into trillions of alternate quantum realities that we are unable to perceive.. It sounds insane but the evidence actually makes it very likely true.

damn I need to stop drinking but..I'm srs about this.

It's funny they didn't include this in the movie. I guess they thought people are too stupid to understand or it must not have served their agenda of new age spirituality.

All of those pictures make me think that one man's galaxy, is another man's electron. Reminds me of the ending in the Men in Black movie where the aliens are playing with marbles that are actually galaxies.

Seriously?

A recommended read would be 'A Brief History Of Time' by Stephen Hawking. It's an eye opener if you're new to many subjects of physics and not just QM. The best thing about it, is that it's all put really simply so the average person can appreciate it.

Will someone hurry up and take a picture of the friggin obelisk already?

very portable, you can take them anywhere really. i'd pass on stephen hawking and go straight to the hard stuff; and you could also ready many other incredible scientists that have wrote about QM such as Feynman (in fact, you should read feynman's lectures)

the spiritual side of it is very romantic, but like all scientific theory, it must be proven and applied to a problem; that's where the real headache comes in. because reading words on QM is not the same as trying to get through QM problems, which are not easy.

hiram
Anyone ever thought of the universe ITSELF as a supreme being?
