| I have denon Ah-D750, since 6 years now...and I never ever regret it, and I make them suffer as hell (travel in school bag around the world!)...not the one for dj-ing, but for good and water clear listening, it's a good deal. |

| The Allen and Heath Xone headphones for me.....not to much bass!! I mix with mid and high freq, so I love these headphones! |

go to a store and try out various headphones if possible.
each DJ has their own preference and what they want from headphone. recommendations are good, but you won't know whether you'll like a pair of cans until you try them out for yourself.
basically look for a pair that'll give you good sound quality, blocks out outside sound well, durable and comfortable for wearing it for a long time |

Good pair of headphones are great to listen to your iPods with! But when it comes to mixing, don't get too held up on what headphones to use and it's frequency responses, because that won't help you get your mixes tight, what will is your technique, room acoustics and sound sys! I only use headphones to scan, so I can actually use ipod headphones if I needed to... On another note, I made a stick-phone out of my old pioneer hdj 1000s, it was great even after it started bleeding lol!
But as bender said, the allen & heath Xone headphones are fantastisch! In fact, anything with allen and heath is solid =)

| Except the frequency sweep knob on my Xone:42 which died last week after less than a year. |

Oh, bad scene dude! Allen & Heath has just recently contracted their manual labor to China, let's hope that's not the reason for your broken frequency knob! |
