Try etronics.com -- they ship to Canada and they quote actual prices in Canadian dollars (no surprise shipping, taxes, etc.)
You might come up with a better deal if you do some searches under shopping.yahoo.com or eBay.ca (if you trust eBay).. |

see the funny thing is I ordered vinyl out of Holland and it came within 3 days! WOW! and they used DHL, and I did not have to pay a penny and the vinyl I ordered was worth like $400 USD! So frankly I don't understand why I had to pay for COD's when I ordered from the States especially New York, cause this is where the equipment came from! |

nice set up trancearmada! I can't wait to get mine
I'm currently saving up to get my TTs, my friend's girlfriend has virtually new 1200s although the mixer is American DJ :( however this offer is for (USD)$700 which is difficult to pass up.
I was going to ship them via UPS from Cali, ur starting to make me hesitate now though!? what should i do? |

well i guess if you bring them across the border the will only charge you the PST/GST but than you have to spend on the travel time and money, so which ever is easier for you. you can always try and run across the border un-noticed :stongue: :haha: but that's gonna be hard to do since after the whole 9-11 deal the security is tight now!
I mean you will have to pay for some of the COD either way! So what ever is easier for you I guess |

they heavy bass from your speakers will prove to be more important if you ever plan to play in a club (reminder that it'll prove usefull for beatmatching), and also the reason that people get 1200s, is (as you obviously know) because that's what 95% of clubs use.. sure some Vestax are notably better and your stantons might of provided a better price/performance.. but I just hope it wont be too ruff on you if you ever get to spin at a club
(just my 2cents).. congrats on the purchase, many people (incl. myself) always thought at one point that they want to be DJs..
now you just got to work on knowing people.. because that's what its all about in the end.. knowing people to get gigs, knowing people to get on promo lists to get vinyl before evreyone else.. oh, and there's some skill involved, wouldn't worry about that, its not extremely difficuly especially for someone that loves teh music

I feel like some ppl are starting to doubt me (not you) but others on this board. I mean they have not even heard what my style or my mixing is like but they start bashig me for the smallest things, like the kind of TT's I purchased and that they are better DJ's than me and what not. I mean I just bought the decks never used the to professionally mix with them before this in my life. Should I just be ignorant as and sticky to it. , I mean what is it with all this pressure! YUKS!:eek: |

Well I'm not actually going to the states and getting the tables, my friend (the girl im buying them from) is going to send them to me. I wouldnt try to run across with them either.....im Arab and getting through that border discretely now is not worth it....my friend just got turned back from there.....but anyway.....
everybody just has been telling get them shipped via UPS.....
and man, dont let anyone get to you about ANYTHING!!!
be open minded, take some advice because getting different view points is a good thing....dont take anything personally though, it'll just hinder you more.....
just be focused, know what you want, and go for it!!!!
