see previous post and add : not hiding any of that stuff. I'll be dammed though if i ever decide to just go tell people "hi i posted pics of getting my dick sucked" like a golden star on my chest.
she has never asked me if i did stuff like that, and to be honest it doesn't really matter.A person is more than what they say and do now, but what they say and do now is way more important to what got them to that point imo. |
See, I could never live with that kind of shame. I would definitely have to take sleeping pills to black out my guilty conscience every night. Ughhhh. |

i don't know about the "on ta so and so said..." thing though. That would get met with the same reaction i would give to ,"you will never guess who lindsey lohan is fucking now.".:p |
lol, I don't mean that I go "omg, Slyee said blahblahblah to Jay and Rob and Myra aren't together anymore and guess who is ing who now?" It's more like "I have the most hilarious video to show you" or "someone said (something hilarious) on TA today. Closest I get is "remember that dude that was doing that Dean Martin remix that you fell in love with? Supposedly he's gonna finish it now, but I've heard that before." ;) |

call it shame if you want.
i'll call it some people not spending their lives looking for skeletons in closets of houses that they do not even own anymore.
i've done that in the past, and all i can say is that you end up missing out on a lot thinking that way. You don't have to agree, because for some it is what it is.
As silly as it sounds a few month ago a guy who was interviewing me for this job said "life starts at 30, you'll see". I didn't get the job (:p) but it kind of stuck.
To me i think from lets say 10 to 20, 20 to 30, what makes you get to wherever you bar has some kind of significance. If you are 20 and missing out on life because what happened at 5 what good does that do?
If you are 30 and worrying about that time you were 16....blah blah. Significant but meaninless, because you move on, not stay in a past you can't live again.
plur. |

| I sometimes think it's just more of a mind clutter thing than a moral or virtuous thing. I just don't like the thought of hiding in my mind or conscience or whatever. It makes my brain space feel messy and constrained. For me, I find that with veracity comes a kind of freedom...and that avoiding truths or looking away from them without ever dealing with them again is not mentally/emotionally healthy. |

i showed her the deano failed remix but from a direct link. I had too because we are both big Dean Martin / crooner fans. |

different strokes for different folks is all.
i feel living in the past or feeling paranoid or guilty enough to feel this way would be equally as bad for the emotional and mental health. |

I think it does sound silly. I think the type of people who say that are the ones who have run from their past. |

if you run to your past where does that get you?
does what you did yesterday really matter more to you then what comes tomorrow? seriously?
lol |

| That's not the point I'm making at all. And I'm not talking about living in the past. I'm saying that one cannot move forward without embracing and incorporating their past into their present. |
