You should. It's massively over-hyped but it really is quite good..
Is it? All right, I'm going to give it a chance :)
Edit: Is it a blokeish film though? Unless there's stuff blowing up, I like dramas better. You know, the oddball "foreign" messed-up sort of drama :p

I've never seen Fight Club (nor do I intend to), but if you're talking about Terminator II, it's way more awesome than that.
T2 is an excellent movie.
So is Fight club.
Either we have very different tastes, or I have a lot to look forward to at the movies tomorrow.

Hmm to an extent. It's not a full-on testosterone fest but from my experience more guys tend to like it, because it delves into the male psyche a bit. There is some violence (not as much as you probably expect) but I'd say it's a little more cerebral than your typical Hollywood offering. There's some decent subtext about the human (male) animal in the modern consumerist world.
Plus a kick-ass sound track form the Dust Brothers.

Fight club will go down on history as one of the greatest moves of our time ;) and I will give Stu the rules about fight club pretty soon. :whip:
Saw 2012 last night , was looking forward to the Efx from this movie more than anything else, cause... come on its a Roland " destroy the world " Emmerich movie  .
I think this brings it , I was surprised by the flow of it, just when i thought the movie couldnt go anywhere ,something new and interesting came up ,the intensity level was beyond limits on many scenes, there was also a lot of cheese on the movie which was expected... but can be overlooked by the efx and the dynamics of the editing.
If we think about end of the world movies just to name a few over the past 10 years
_The day after tomorrow
-Armageddon
-Deep Impact
I think this movie is better than all of them , it did its job... entertain me on a friday night :)

Hah, that's the very same question my fiancée asked me when I told her I had watched the film :p
The answer is not that simple, unfortunately. There are many factors involved, such as the amount of zeroes in your bank account, your piloting skills, and whether or not you know a Buddhist monk whose brother knows how to weld =]
Edit: For those of you who are interested, the production crew made a great effor to make the whole thing look more realistic. Charlie Frost, for example, has his own Youtube Account and A Facebook profile, not to mention his infamous blog. There's also the website of the Institute of Human Continuity (which didn't really play that much of an explicit role on the film, but their former "Communications Director" has got a Twitter account that is still up despite his "death")... and you can even read the first chapter or Farewell Atlantis.
