"Couldn't care less" is another one. People putting no thought into what they're saying, because it's easier to copy what everyone else is saying. Osmosis of idiocy right there.

I know this one probably pisses people off, but I use it all the time.
'wait,'
as in, slow down. let me catch back up. 'wait, how many people bla bla bla'

i've always said "i could care less". oh well. i guess i'll correct it from now on and say 'couldn't'. i'm sure whomever i said that to got my point though:p

Yeah, that one's just been around so long it's accepted at face value and I doubt most people even think about it, which isn't a terrible thing. The meaning is what counts, as with all language. Still, it's fun to point out little things we do and don't even recognize imo.
I always took "same difference" as an unspoken recognition that it negates itself, but that's its appeal. Who knows if others see it the same way though.

That's right, Jamie... you better start saying it the right way. Unless, that is, you want to see the back of my hand.

i agree but i think they kind of make sense, in a ed up way. "tomatoes or tomahtoes?" "i dunno, same difference." as in, the differences between the two are the same (being that each are pronounced differently)
also, "couldn't care less" for me = "i could not care any less for the subject at hand" = i didn't give a before, and i don't give a now; in fact, i care so little about the subject that it isn't possible for me to care any less than i do atm. :p saying "i could care less" to me implies that you care about the subject but wish you didn't. "i care about this subject, but i wish i could care less about it"
i dunno, i'm a weirdo.

slang is awesome here, you can confuse out of towners with a few words and talk about them without them knowing what you're saying. Some words mentioned in here however are pretty annoying.
DjWhooCares
maybe not slang
but
"get your dick wet"
doesnt annoy me, just sounds....bad overall
is it just me?

Lol "get your dick wet" is one of my faves. So vulgar. :gsmile:

Some of my friends always used to say "beat that up" when talking about their conquests, lol. As in "I'm gonna beat that up." Kinda hot. :o

did they whisper and spill their beverages on each other while they said it, too?
