i agree but i think they kind of make sense, in a ed up way. "tomatoes or tomahtoes?" "i dunno, same difference." as in, the differences between the two are the same (being that each are pronounced differently)
also, "couldn't care less" for me = "i could not care any less for the subject at hand" = i didn't give a before, and i don't give a now; in fact, i care so little about the subject that it isn't possible for me to care any less than i do atm. :p saying "i could care less" to me implies that you care about the subject but wish you didn't. "i care about this subject, but i wish i could care less about it"
i dunno, i'm a weirdo. |
pot kettle? everyone in this forum, EVERYONE, is a little bit weird...and that's a good thing, just keep it simple and relax bud :p |

"Same difference". |
i always thought it was australian for "stop being a pedantic cunt."

"Couldn't care less" is another one. People putting no thought into what they're saying, because it's easier to copy what everyone else is saying. Osmosis of idiocy right there. |
how could you hate that more than "could care less" which is both nonsensical and far more indicative of people copying what everyone else is saying? |

How can you call it pedantry to rage at one, but not the other? "Could care less" is annoying, but it actually has semantic content. "Same difference" is illogical. It's an oxymoron. People who walk around saying something that has anti-meaning are clearly more stupid than those who say something that could merely be an idiom. |

no no, thats just what i mean when i use it, not that you were being pedantic by hating it (considering that yes, its rather nonsensical too).

but people say "could care less" when they actually mean they couldnt, which is why its so stupid. |

| Yeah, sorry. It was a typo in my original post. Could care less annoys me. Couldn't care less is what I say. |

| "I seen". This pisses me off. Every time someone sends me a resume and I can see on the email that their first sentence starts out with "I seen you ad on careerbuilder" I delete the email without ever looking at it. I don't care if I missed out on the most awesome employee ever - sending out your resume and starting with THAT sentence drives me nuts. |

TTA used to always say that, so often I'd say "you could? why don't you then?" it is a bit silly tbh. |
