Basically. You're missing out on the greatest life experience ever if you have a chance to travel the world and don't take it. The last holiday I had was in January 2008, and prior to that it was July 2006.
What would you see as a valid reason for travelling that's not 'for pleasure'? |

| true, travelling enriches life like nothing else really. Personally, I really want to see the Himalayas, to check out tibetan monastaries and to try and conquer some summits as well. |

I misunderstood that post for 5 seconds, but yes, that is a perfectly valid reason too. :gsmile:
edit: though I suppose that reason could also come under the 'for pleeeeeeasure' heading. |

I'd like to live in another country for a while. I'd love to see what life in London or Melbourne is like. Berlin looks interesting too, as do Tokyo and Vancouver. That being said, I might be visiting Nagoya this summer (winter, for you guys on the Northern hemisphere), though that's just because my fiancée is there - otherwise I wouldn't spend any money on a 1-month long trip. Except, maybe, to Antarctica, I'd love to see the icy continent even if it's just for a brief period. |
London is nice, i love the cloudy weather.
Berlin is interesting, just to walk around & sit at cafes :p
Tokyo is great, there's just so much to see and do..
I love Nagoya, since i was living in Okazaki, Nagoya was just a small train ride away... |

he's a student... am i right Domesticated? I remember you mentioning this before and your family is paying like $50K for the experience. You're lucky man- sounds like a great time awaits. I thought i was well travelled but you're going to put me to shame with that 1 trip. |
