enydo - Too Late [Progressive] (pg. 4)

Finally tuning in to this. 15 minutes in and so far, so good. :)

Edit:

OK, just finished listening and agree with SYSTEM-J. I thought your programming was alright and in accordance to the music style. Don't know where all the comments about the mix not going anywhere are coming from. A good progressive set is supposed to build and build very slowly, which is experienced better in longer sets. Considering you had a little over an hour to do your thing, you did pretty damn well. Some people need to get off their high horses, IMO. :o

Mixing was alright, for the most part. Nothing spectacular, but nothing cringeworthy either. There were some obvious transitions, like the first one for example but they were nothing more than that: obvious. I don't know if this happens to you too, but I always struggle a bit with the first transition of my sets. Don't know why it happens because it makes no sense at all, but I always find it to be the hardest one. :p

My only "problem" (if it can even be a problem) with the mix was that I wish you had used the original version of "Heaven Scent" instead of that remix.

Overall, good job sir.

Soooo good man, I ing love these tunes so much. I wish there was somewhere I could go to party that still played music like this :(

Wicked set, Any Dough :)

Thanks a ton Sushi, and yeah, I'd kill to hear a night of stuff like this. Never got to experience it for myself. I love a lot of stuff coming out today, but one of my favorite things to do right now is scour my local record shop for older progressive(since that's pretty much the best part of their selection), and spending hours going through beatport / juno's back catalogs for this type of stuff.

Thanks woscar, and I agree fully. I find it very tough to construct prog sets. I'm not exactly sure as to why, it's just different music than a lot of the other stuff I mix. The mixing in particular can be a bear as I've still got some things to learn, and if you're not exact with your eqing, things tend to clash and get muddy. What's interesting is I think I actually do much better in terms of programming and mixing when I'm mixing with my turntables and vinyl. Having a really limited selection forces me to know all my tracks completely as I play each over and over, and it helps a load. I honestly feel more restricted with a huge library of things to choose from on a computer screen.

Anyways, thanks a lot guys, woscar you can go back to wolf + lamb now. :p

Sorry for the ultra-late response. I quite enjoyed this. I too thought the programming was fine. Liked all the tunes and the mixing was adequate. Great stuff mate. As Sushi said, this needs to be played more.

Make another, imo.

w00t! I used to be a proghead long ago, when digweed still knew what he was playing, and satoshi tomiie hadnt forgotten about drums yet.

Sorry to hear about the amp :( I'm going to try to buy some turntables this summer, so maybe a year from now you'll hear a vinyl mix from me ha.

It sucks, with school going on I just don't have the free time to devote to this stuff as much as I'd like. Only got two semesters left though.

Really enjoyed this Endyo. I don't know why I waited so long to listen, but I guess it's never too late:p

This is such a nice and warm sound, I really love it and miss listening to it. Reminds me of older CD compilations I used to listen to so although I may not be familiar with the tracks, as a whole this had a very nostalgic feeling to me. Picture fits well too:)
