Giant spaceships appear over all major cities of the world, and Anna, the beautiful and charismatic leader of the extra-terrestrial "Visitors," claims to come in peace. As a small number of humans begin to doubt the sincerity of the seemingly benevolent Visitors, FBI counter-terrorism agent Erica Evans discovers that the aliens have spent decades infiltrating human governments and businesses, and are now in the final stages of their plan to take over the planet. Erica joins the resistance movement, which includes Ryan, a Visitor sleeper agent who wants to save humanity. However, the aliens have won favor among the people of Earth by curing a variety of diseases, and have recruited Earth's youth — including Erica's son — to serve them unknowingly as spies.

haha, my dad watched this in the 80's, hopefully the remake will be good :)

I'm praying it's as good as the remake of Battlestar Galactica.

Good to see that there are some original ideas coming out.

i hope so too, but we both know it won't be. what we're seeing here is the cashing in of recently successful scifi remakes.

True, but at least BSG seems to have raised the bar quite a bit, quality-wise. Looking at the new direction of Stargate, and now this, I have to say that new sci-fi shows are looking more promising, wouldn't you say?

ya..I seriously doubt the acting in BSG will ever be topped. They can duplicate the special effects but not the acting.

Seriously? The acting in that series is so contrived it's made me give up on actually watching Season 3 at least four times now. Interesting plot, horrid execution, imo.
jupiterone

Lol, I'm seriously trying to get through that damn show but for every episode questioning what it means to be human, I have to sit through three about Starbuck being an alcoholic or Chief marrying the girl he beat the out of. There's so much angst in that show that I feel like I'm watching Twilight in space.
