| All I know is anytime I go to a bar/club I see tons of bitches, and theres usually EDM being played along with other genres. But women go particulary crazy over the 80s remixes I notice.. |

Here in Argentina, the Best womens are in the clubs that plays EDM
Of course we have womens in other kind of clubs, but the hottest and more beautiful are in EDM clubs, I estimate an average of 5 girls for a boy.
Have no pictures to share here but if you know a dj who played a gig here in Buenos Aires ask him ;) |

| Women in the U.S. are too trendy and are more concearned with fitting in and being part of the group, instead of being individuals who express themselves freely. I'm willing to bet most U.S. guys who have a passion for EDM were never the social butterfly types. Never were part of the pack. Europeans are more free spirited and indivdualistic in my opinion. Not to say they aren't social...I just think they place a higher value on individualism. |

I have a few ideas... And this mostly applies to the US because well, that's where I live :)
For the most part, people who are into EDM, are really into it. I'd say a large majority of people that listen to EDM listen to it almost exclusively and are very into it. They/We go out and find styles we like, radio shows, podcasts, etc that fit our EDM taste and listen to it, because we're into it, a lot, it's our hobby. Some people play baseball, we EDM.
Girls I seem to find, aren't into . Nothing. Most girls I know have no hobbies, no passions, perhaps a career-oriented life goal but other than that I can't think of a single girl that I know that has something she's into on the side. They're days revolve around looking pretty and going out on the weekend, where ever other people say the cool place to go is. Girls tend to be more followers than leaders.
People who listen to run-of-the-mill whatever is on the radio have litte preference. They like stuff that is familiar to them. Most girls, stemming from lacking a hobby, listen to whatever is on the radio or in mainstream media whether they actually like the music or not, they know it, it's familiar. And when they listen to music, it's just on, in the background, they talk over it, and it's insignificant.
I'll tell ya when I'm in the car with a girl/date, I tend NOT to put on EDM because I end up not listening to her because I get so focused on the music lol.
And on that note... I need to go join beamrider in Argentina hahha. |

music has an inherently female energy.
thus, more men are drawn to it. |

I believe another factor is if you're into EDM djing/producing/business (which is about 99% of EDM listeners now) you are without a doubt a confident person. I hate to generalize but women seem so insecure. Maybe that's another reason?
|
i hate to generalise, but this is one of the most stupid things i've ever heard LOL.

What do you guys think the problem is? |
I see no problem; most girls I know are into dance music. |

Likewise. They may not be into it in the obsessive way that many guys are, but I see that as a good thing.
I've had no problem getting girls into house music or downtempo (trip-hop etc.) and even know a bunch that like techno at clubs. Epic trance and other hands-in-the-air crap, yeah, you're probably not gonna get much love there, it's just not sexy music.
Oh, and I'm not much of a junglist but the d'n'b scene is easily 50/50. |

I've known a few girls that like EDM but ask them about anything beyond stuff played on Area 38 or in the 16+ ty clubs out here and they'll just give you blank stares.
My girlfriend doesn't really like it though, it "all sounds the same" in her opinion. |

It does seem pretty rare to meet girls that are really "into" anything that has no connection to their careers or friends + family. Sad really. |
