I really like Ministry of Sound's DJ Booth:
It's a good idea to have something protective around the equipment like in the photo. I like how they have a small clear barrier, instead of something ugly you know? |

do you have a larger picture, we're interested in functionality of equipment placement but also monitor placements, height of things, etc :) |

You may want to consider whether or not you want a permanent installation or not.
Some booths are designed for permanent installs but over time I found that there is no perfect setup for every DJ.
So it's best to just go all black and minimal with an all black interchangle coffin on top. Afterall, at the party everything is dark and the booth people barely get to see unless it's one of those booths at a lounge or at crowd level.
So I went with a couple of coffins like this

That I can interchange. 1 has one kind of setup and the other another. After the party I can close the lid and roll it away if I want. Also, makes it so that I can take one of them away if I need to for an outdoor party on the rooftop or something.
For monitors def went with QSC K Series. They sound fantastic and have hooks on top for mounting on the ceiling. Plus they are only about 30lbs. |

terrible picture but i always liked Love NYCs booth. the gear is nice and high, big VU meters to keep tabs on db, and of course giant monitors right in your face. |

I really like this one because it's pretty clean. All wires are hidden.
Only problem I see is that the turntables & mixer are permanent and you really can't take them out because it will leave you with empty holes.
We're making this one within the next few weeks, but ours is gonna have and adjustable shelf (where the CDJ's are). You can adjust the angles.

This is our current DJ booth. We have to clean it up a bit, hide the cables, to make it look nicer, but it's very practical.
It's elevated about 3 feet above ground. The space below we use it as storage. So we're above the crowd. Only problem is we're tucked away in a corner. :(
Our booth is pretty user friendly. we have a L-shaped flat surface where the CDJ's & mixer are facing the crowd, and the wall to the left. We made it like that so we can replace the equipment at any given time. We also have a top shelf on the front where our laptops go. There's enough room to add a 2nd setup as you can see on some of the pix.
On the wall to the left, we have a monitor hanging from the top, a mixing board we use for the main audio that's also on the wall. Our Show Designer 3 on the flat surface's corner. We also have a rack on the wall that houses our DVD players and video switch box. That leaves us the entire left side flat surface for CD's, records, whatever. We took out the 1200's because they're a nightmare. We have them on the space below the DJ booth.
Directly below the CDJ's we have a rack that we can use for anything we want. It's empty right now.
BTW, we made this booth using feedback from all the resident DJ's.

I take it that's not MOS London... if it is it must be the 3rd or 4th room, the booths in the other rooms are MUCH bigger than that...
Here's the main room:

That's actually an old picture (hence no CDJs) - this is what it looks like now:
