Well he's entitled to his opinion but I wanted to know what about Metric beats out all of the other music defining artists...

the age of a band is really irrelevant. what if his previous favourite was one of the bands that you expected as an answer... until he heard metric and metric became his new favourite? if metric is his favourite then respect that and leave it at that.
if you were dating a girl and you thought she was wonderful and perfect and amazing... would i ask you "dude, what the do you see in her?" lol |
