Read the first few pages...and this is a keeper. Dead_mMoose alt should post a bit more often. Not because I agree with everything he says, but because I like the way he says it, seems somewhat intelligent. Forum rhetoric boner? :clown:

surprised that noone picked up on a little mistake the OP put up... regarding ferry corstens studio in 99. less hardware?? 1/3 of the cost?? i would think a similar set up if not more hardware kit than most of the people on here... and i guarantee it cost a lot more to buy then than it does now. just a thought :) one reason why i didnt own any decent kit was cos of the price!
gotta agree with cryo though. having big keyboards in front of you feels a lot more fun. its an actual instrument! you can tweek and play to your hearts content. i dont find i can do that with vsts... probably a mental thing, as i can play about with my JP8000 for hours and hours. |

I agree about the "fun" aspect of hardware.
Sometimes when I don't feel like loading up a sequencer or anything I like to take the Moog out into the living room and just plug it in with some headphones and tweak away. Other times I'll load up Audacity (simple audio recorder) and have a "jam" session where I cycle through all kinds of noises for ten to twenty minutes and then export it as a WAV for later use. |
