I don't understand the correlation between the two?

I live in a part of the world where women do not listen to edm. If you did as well, you would likely wonder the same. What does this have to do with being a moderator?

*edit how many times you gonna change your answer/statement/witty statement? First it was women, then it was just a quick flame (as seen above), and now it's a coersion hypothesis. lol?

You're actually wondering why you would be a terrible MOD?
Well the idea is that you are ignorant enough to make a sweeping generalization as a thread on a production forum. At the same time giving the excuse "i come this part of the world, I really dont know". Well if you come from an ignorant to the scene part of the world, which is ridiculous excuse with the amount of resources on the internet, then why did you make a thread that is based off ignorance? And threads that bash EDM with subltetity are what kinda killed off the MD forum, and your threads that bash Trance and women not being into EDM, etc would fit nicely there, not here.

:haha:

Hilarious you are trying soooooooo hard to correlate somebodies ability to be a moderator based off something that is not relevant. You are also using major hyperbole when talking about my thread, post, attitude towards it. I said, as factual read, that men enjoy instrumental music more than women and with EDM being mostly instrumental, this could be a reason why I thought that.

Sorry. I've just never been to a club that was 50/50 nor have I ever even seen a picture of a club that was 50/50. I think my assessment was more than fair, and your just grasping for straws and looking like an idiot in the process.

Cool...more ignorance lol. You're so easy. Lets break down your newest stupid reasoning. "I've never been to a club that was 50/50". Have you ever been to a hip hop club that was 50/50? Hip Hop/RnB has pretty much 100% vocals, virtually no instrumentals at clubs. Still I havent been to a 50/50 guy/girl ratio Hip Hop club. Have you been to a Rock concert that was 50/50? See your poor reasoning? And i'm sure there are cockfest hip hop clubs, and im sure there are plenty of cockfest rock concerts.

And if anything House and Trance music is as attractive to women as any other genre out there. The only reason it might seem like there are less women, is because there are still limitations in the music getting to people through all available avenues. Most women are not exposed because they mostly listen to whats on the radio and whats on radio is not exactly Trance music. The music itself is not holding them back, since many who have found the music, are as big fans of Trance or EDM as anyone is of any genre out there. You probably have no knowledge about women or anything outside your box (according to you) for that matter, so it is understandable that you would not know any of this.

Yep. In fact the last time I went to one, I took four women with me. They love that style of night life.

Interesting. Any facts to back these opinions up? Whose making generalizations with zero facts now? At least I can show you studies about instrumental music along with pictures from clubs. What do you have besides your al'mighty word? Now I'm starting to read excuses as to why women fail to show up at these events after you proclaimed my ignorance and implied I was stupid. Funny. Normally I would delete a thread like this and not feed the troll, but you're too much fun. Keep typing!

(I apologize to those reading this thread expecting topics related to the original post)

What is there to reply to? You ignored my simple logic that debunked your reasoning.

And your instrumental reasoning is poor because there is plenty of Vocal Trance out there, and as long as it exists women will choose to listen to that portion of Trance music, you act like all they have to listen to is instrumentals. Have you heard the last Tiesto Album? Its full of vocals. Have you heard Trance Comps? Tons of vocal tracks on them. Do you even listen to the music you are into? I'm guessing your just poseur, and your theory is poooor.

And the problem is not the music, it is the exposure and accessibility of the music. How many major radio station DJs play Trance on their show regularly? None. You have to find Trance through pirate radio or satellite radio in America. And the women who have found Trance have mostly found it through the internet. So its obvious the issue is an accessibility and exposure issue and not the dynamics of the music, because the dynamics of the music is quite attractive to any human with feelings and emotions, which is of strong interest for women.

So the amount of women that enjoy Trance cant be accurately measured because the same amount of women arent exposed to Trance as they are to other genres. If you go to Europe, where there is more exposure, there is a ton of women into trance (by now your theory is in the ter.) Men are more seekers and they find the music they like through whatever means there is. Some women are seekers, but most women are often spoon fed the music they like, and will take what comes there way, typically what is on the radio. And from there, their taste develops. They're not exactly hunters like men. So, in America not enough women are put in the position to listen to Trance as they are other genres, and if they were they'd be listening to Trance and showing up to events as much as any genre, if not more. Because the music itself is attractive to women, if they are exposed to it. I know plenty of women who love Trance/EDM more than any genre, and always ask me to make them EDM CDs.

You took 4 women to a club? LoL...the only guys who do that are major douchebags. Why take sand to the beach :p

Cool. Your theory on why women don't listen to Trance is an interesting one and I would agree with most parts of it. That was the whole point of the other thread where this should have (and might have been) posted. Exposure is of course a problem, and it's why fewer women here are into Trance. This problem is magnified heavily in less cultured areas (for all types of Electronic music.) That still doesn't change the fact that more men listen to and follow EDM than women. I don't even know why we're discussing this anyway. Not sure why you felt the need to discuss and defend something at length that shouldn't have even been brought up to begin with? :( Post it in the thread where it belongs if you havn't already and stop flaming this board. If you continue to flame this board I can promise you without doubt you will get at minimum a 24 hour ban. If you don't believe me go ask CLICK2DANCE or whatever his name was (if you can find a way to get in touch with him). I had his IP perma banned from not just the forums but the entire site.

You need to settle down and stop talking like you know everything (even if you do.) Keep quiet and carry a big stick. Whatever your goals are, It'll help you reach them much more efficiently. Promise.

So after making pointless troll threads (recalling your EDM/Trance trolling threads of the past) that dont belong on this forum, and then actually agreeing with my points, now your threatening to have me banned because you have nothing reasonable or logical to respond with? Talk about sore loser.

See, clueless people like you are part of the problems EDM faces, not the Producers who want to be heard. It is clueless, ignorant, characterless people who run digital labels, just because they easily can. You as a label owner, you need to get clued in, and listen to people who obviously know what they are talking about. And I dont need your advice, because from the stupidity that comes from your mind, you're in no position to advise anyone, you need more help than anyone here. ;)

Kismet, people giving ridiculous answers to serious questions, such as the answer you have provided in this thread is what is ruining this sub-forum. It's the same thing that happens in the Music Discussion sub-forum, as you are unlikely to get many good answers there either.

Topics being hi-jacked like this doesn't help either.
