One of the protesters, Wendy Morgan, said she thought the taxi drivers needed to be castrated.
At the protest, radio personality Redi Direko, who dressed in a miniskirt, said: "Drivers need to be taught how to behave, this doesn't end here, there is no dress code for women who frequent the taxi rank."
Protesters held placards which read: "We love our minis" and "We aren't road signs, you need to respect us", and "There are no shortcuts to women's rights".
Meanwhile taxi drivers gathered at the rank, screaming and whistling at the women.
The march was the second this month following the attack. |

This is weird. I can understand the university's faculty being angry and expelling her, by why on earth would students riot and get angry about something like this?
Also, I think it is rather ironic when you consider how Brazilians dress when they go to the beach. |
